Snow in Versailles

VERSAILLES SNOW-18

Today I have good news and bad news.

Bad News: I’ll start with the bad news first because it led to the good news.

Last Saturday, after another snowfall on Friday, I went to Versailles to take photos in the garden at the suggestion of a friend.
I thought what a great opportunity and made my way to Versailles on Saturday morning. It was a gorgeous blue sky, sunny day and I was counting the minutes till I got to the palace. When I reached the entrance of the garden, I was told by one of the guards the gardens were closed because of the snow. I was CRUSHED.

I sat in my disappointment for a few minutes to regroup and decide what to do next. I thought as long as I am here, why don’t I walk through the town of Versailles and see what I discover.

Now the Good News: My instinct was right to discover the rest of Versailles. I got some wonderful and unexpected shots, which I am very pleased with.
