Top 4 Places to Visit in St. Barts

The Caribbean is one of the most popular tourist destinations because it appeals to people all over the world. Millions of tourists around the world come to see the white sandy beaches and clear blue waters of the Caribbean islands every year. One of these islands is St. Barthélemy, the only French-speaking island of The Caribbean. It is commonly called by its shortened name: St. Barts. The capital of St. Barts, Gustavia, is filled with high-end restaurants, villas, designer shops, and historical buildings that makes it perfect for touring in the summer. If you are looking forward to visiting the Caribbean this season, here are the top four places you should go to in St. Barts:

Anse du Gouverneur

If you are one of the adventurous types, this beach should be first on your list. Anse du Gouverneur is located near the far end of St. Barts and offers a spectacular view of the ocean. Standing on the hilltops of Anse du Gouverneur will make you feel like you’ve reached the end of the Earth. There is nothing on the beach except an unadulterated view of nature. You will have to take a rocky one-way road to this beach, which can be quite thrilling for adrenaline junkies.

Eden Rock

One of the oldest and most popular hotels in St. Barts is Eden Rock. The architecture is both classic and contemporary, and is a must-see for tourists in St. Barts. The hotel is frequented by Hollywood stars, royalty, and every other version of celebrity. However, you will have to pay handsomely to book a room or a cottage in this hotel since the services, especially the food and staff, is utter perfection. To save money, I’d recommend staying in one of the St. Barts Villas and have a meal or check out activities at the hotel.

Anse de Saline

This is the second longest beach on the island, and it exhibits the same white sand landscape characteristic to St. Barts. Similarly to most of the island’s beaches, Anse de Saline is completely free for the public but lacks any facilities. The reason why tourists are attracted to this beach is because of the high tides and rough waters. The wind on this beach is quite unpredictable, which gives rise to high waves for surfing. If you decide to visit this beach, make sure to take all the necessities of travel with you. Pack a lunch, stuff your cooler, and bring sunscreen!

Baie de St. Jean

St. Jean is considered the hub of St. Barts since most of the modern restaurants, designer brand outlets, clubs, and villas are located here. If you get sick of secluded beaches and surfing all the time, you should pay a visit to Baie de St. Jean. The water around this beach is calm, which makes it the best place for family gatherings and kids. You can take your children to this beach to play and not worry about high tides, and there’s tons of amenities and services nearby for a stress-free experience.
