Seattle school district apologizes for letter asking Muslim families to reconsider students fasting during testing season
In an email sent to families, a principal asked parents to reconsider allowing their children to fast during the holy month of Ramadan so they could perform better on standardized tests. The backlash on social media prompted the Seattle school district’s apology.
