Star Wars Secrecy Caused Michael B. Jordan to Bomb His Force Awakens Audition

Lucasfilm values its secrecy. It’s so worried about and vigilant against leaks about their upcoming Star Wars projects, they keep scripts locked away until actors come to them to audition, and lock them back up when the actors leave. It’s a process that gives actors virtually no time to prepare—which is a huge problem…Read more...

Disney Apparently Decided Not To Pay Some Authors Their Royalties

And now there’s a task force trying to get the authors of novels in the Indiana Jones, Buffy, and Star Wars universes the royalties for recent sales of their books. Disney, according to author Alan Dean Foster, told him that when they bought Lucasfilm and the rights to Foster’s novelization of Star Wars: A New Hope, first published in 1976, that didn’t mean he would continue to earn royalties from the still in-print, still selling book. The Mouse “argued that it had purchased the rights, but no...

Why Disney Really Fired Gina Carano From ‘The Mandalorian’

It wasn’t just because she likened being a conservative in America today to being a Jew in 1930s Germany on Instagram. “Carano had become a lightning rod among Star Wars fans and a headache for Lucasfilm, … [and] had repeatedly been warned by those around her about her social media behavior.” – The Hollywood Reporter

POTD: Imagine a Lando Calrissian ‘Star Wars’ Trilogy with Amazing Retro Posters By Peter Stults

Since Solo: A Star Wars Story ended up being a box office disappointment, it’s not likely that we’re going to get a sequel, and that’s coming from the film’s co-writer Jon Kasdan.
