Glamping in the Oil Well Flats BLM Area

Spent Monday and Tuesday glamping at a new site north of Cañon City along Red Canyon Road.  I'd spotted the place during my ride on Shelf Road and decided to try it out.Monday's weather was light rain and solid overcast.  Rode around some but not very scenic area to start with, and definitely no chance for pics when the clouds obscured even the nearby hills! Tuesday, I tried going over to the Shelf Road (about ten miles away) hoping for "in the clouds" shots but nope: Perhaps an hour...

Trade War Watch: It’s Okay to Feel a Little Sorry for Harley-Davidson

Last summer, the European Union imposed an additional 25-percent import duty on top of the existing 6-percent tariff levied on large motorcycles. Established as a response to the United States’ duties on steel and aluminum, the move crippled Harley-Davidson’s ability to thrive in the European market — a region that accounts for about one-sixth of […] The post Trade War Watch: It’s Okay to Feel a Little Sorry for Harley-Davidson appeared first on The Truth About Cars.

Instagram user eviil_srt, so named for his sinister-looking Chrysler 300 SRT8, posted a video in which he claims to have caught a production-ready Charger widebody in the midst of filming a commercial. Short Washington Kids Face Increased Safety, Embarrassment Under New Law

If memory serves correctly, your author was approaching a height of 5’4″ as he neared his 12th birthday. Still, even before that early growth spurt, transportation to and from various locales meant fastening a lap belt in the back seat of my dad’s Ford Fairmont, assuming no one had called shotgun. What Will Lincoln Look Like in 2020?

Lincoln, eager to avoid the fate of Mercury, has spent years attempting to turn itself around. It’s a slow-and-steady kind of race. Rather than try to dazzle the public with a slick marketing campaign (confusing, perhaps – Ed.), Lincoln’s sticking to the fundamentals. Bludgeoned by the Great Recession, Lincoln’s sales actually began their steady decline […] The post What Will Lincoln Look Like in 2020? appeared first on The Truth About Cars.

The Pew Research Center began studying the largest generation, Millennials, in 2009. Ten years later, researchers saw that the Millennial classification needed a cutoff point. Rare Rides: The Ultimate 8 Series BMW Is the Alpina B12 of 1992

Rare Rides featured an Alpina once before: the in-house performance tuner’s take on the late-Eighties 6 Series — the B7. Today’s Alpina is a B12, which is literally five more. And more is better, right? There is, of course, a brand new edition of the 8 Series for sale right now, but BMW’s present styling […] The post Rare Rides: The Ultimate 8 Series BMW Is the Alpina B12 of 1992 appeared first on The Truth About Cars.

The man brave enough to cut up an MV Agusta F4 Senna

Cutting up an MV Agusta F4 Senna is a gutsy move. The F4 is a surefire future classic, and the Senna version’s carbon bits, and upgraded suspension and brakes, make it even tastier. Plus, MV Agusta only ever built three hundred of them—so it’s rare too. But when Robert Wilson got his hands on a 2007-model F4 1000 Senna, he just couldn’t help himself. And since he found it with none of its stock bodywork intact, he didn’t feel too bad about tearing into a 173 hp superbike that cost $29,995 whe...

Oxford Super Leggings Hands-On Review

Elon Musk’s roadmap for Tesla robo-taxis in 2020 is riddled with potholes

Tesla CEO Elon Musk is no stranger to grandiose claims. When he took to the stage yesterday at the Tesla Autonomy Investor Day in Palo Alto, in addition to announcing aggressive Autopilot driving modes (there is even a Mad Max setting that will be available soon) and unveiling an in-house computer ch...
