GM EV1: Not ready for prime time

California's zero-emission vehicle mandate of 1990 required major automakers to sell a percentage of electric-only cars if they wanted to sell anything in the state. Ford, Toyota, and Honda built some, but the best-known -- if perhaps for the wrong reasons -- was GM's EV1. It was leased to drivers, and then taken back and crushed when the leases ended. A bike that demonstrates how Japanese culture can influence automotive design

REV’IT! Livengood GTX Gloves Hands-On Review

Introduction I am always anxious to get riding in the spring and push fall riding as late as possible. One of the concerns is that with dropping temperatures comes cold hands and the lack of ability to properly control the motorcycle. As I have snowmobiled for decades, my default is always to pack my latest snowmobile gloves in case the temperatures dropped. These worked fine when it came to keeping my hands warm, but could be bulky and offered little in the way of protection. So, with that in ...

Ford’s self-braking trolley is perfect for supermarkets and airports!

The guys at Ford believe the technology designed to operate cars has the potential of bettering life outside the vehicle too. STREET SLED – Honda FMX650 by Toma Customs

Written by Ian Lee. The big single. The thumper. No matter how you refer to it, the large displacement single cylinder motor has been putting smiles on motorcyclists’ faces since the dawn of motorcycledom. The simplicity of the mechanics, the ease of working with one and (of course) the noise they make all add to the benefits of using a thumper bike in a custom build. Toma Customs, based in Brussels, has shown the quality of build that is possible when the right workshop has the right cycle on...
