California house sales fall 41% during virus lockdown, Realtors report

The coronavirus lockdown walloped California house sales in May, resulting in a 41.4% drop in transactions from the previous year, the California Association of Realtors reported Tuesday, June 16. It was the biggest year-over-year decrease since November 2007. Median house prices, meanwhile, also fell from year-ago levels, the first such drop in eight years. The trend reflects home deals reached during the height of the lockdown in March and April when open houses shifted online and buyers and s...

11 Auto Maintenance Jobs Every Man Can Do Himself

Editor’s Note: This a guest article from Tony Galloway. There was a time when nearly every man knew how to fiddle around and fix things on his car. Today, with automobiles having become more complex and technologized, the idea of working on your vehicle seems more intimidating, and most guys bring their ride into the shop whenever it has a problem or simply needs maintenance. While major auto repairs may be something many modern folks don’t have the time, patience, and skill to tackle (though w...

Race prep: Secrets of the Fasthouse Ducati Desert Sleds

Today’s ‘modern classic’ scramblers are more show than go. Stylistically, they hark back to the golden years of Californian desert racing—but you wouldn’t want to actually race one across the desert. There are only a couple of motorcycles that buck this trend, and the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled is one of them. Even though it’s not a full-blown enduro machine, it’s surprisingly good off-road. So much so, that most reviewers refer to it as “the Scrambler Ducati should have built in the first ...

If you’ve tried to rent a Jump bike or scooter in London, Paris, Brussels or Rome over the past few days, you may have noticed that they’ve suddenly vanished, as Fluctuo reported on its Twitter account. MV Agusta Design Director Leaves After 20 Years

A New Design Lead for MV Agusta I would argue that MV Agusta makes some of the most beautiful motorcycles on sale today. That is due in large part to Adrian Morton, the British designer that held the Design Director role at the company for the last 20 years, according to Omnimoto. He was a pupil of Massimo Tamurini, the great motorcycle designer who crafted the Ducati 916. Morton resigned from the post coincides with some changes within the company pushed by the CEO, Timur Sardarov. One notable...
