Google has formally promised EU regulators that it won't use future Fitbit data for advertising, boosting chances for approval of the pending merger (GOOG, FIT)

No one can seem to agree on how much Uber and Lyft drivers actually get paid (UBER, LYFT)

Two recent academic studies on how much Lyft and Uber drivers actually earn came to wildly different conclusions.  Researchers at Cornell University found that drivers in Seattle earned a median hourly wage of $23.25. Another study conducted by The New School and University of California, Berkeley found that drivers netted $9.73 per hour.
