News Post: Riven

Tycho: Sekiro is pretty special, I think; of course, I’m invested in From’s success because I like the weird stories they make, but I also need them to make a lot of money so they can make the Armored Core and Chromehounds games I need.  I need them to make so much money that that can make a game that only I purchase and Q1 still looks okay. It’s got its hooks into him big right now, he’s way further than I am because he is not trying to split his curiosity between feudal Japan and the post-Amer...

Date A Live III Episode 11 Impression

On this episode, Shidou goes on a date with the new Origami. Later, he faces against Origami's spirit form. The new Origami dating plot was pretty nice and it was just funny to see she unconsciously reveals her original self. Also, Shidou did some nice moments during their date without heavily relying on Kotori's assistance. Other than that, the ending was heart warming. Now what's going to be the final plot? I can't wait to find out. Overall, nice new Origami dating plot and some enjoyable momen...

Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken Episode 25 Extra Impression

On this episode, Verudora and Ifrit does a commentary on the entire season's recap. So I'm just disappointed that the producers decided to waste extra episode 25 as a recap instead of doing a side plot or some kind of fan service. But, it did kinda reveal more of Verudora's and Ifrit's personalities as they comment on each scene. Other than that, I'll be waiting for season 2. Overall, a boring recap. Conclusion: A boring recap.

The Future of the ‘Transformers’ Franchise Appears to Be Up in the Air

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen seemingly tested any faith fans had in the franchise following the satisfying 2007 live-action debut of the toy-based franchise. Since then, every sequel in the Transformers franchise has made less and less money, to the point that Transformers: The Last Knight barely made more than half of what the previous sequel, Age of Extinction, earned at the domestic box office. Sadly, that continued disappointment didn’t bode well for Bumblebee, which is currently the...

‘Lord of the Rings: Gollum’ Video Game is a Prequel Set Before ‘The Hobbit’

From what we can tell, Amazon’s upcoming The Lord of the Rings prequel television show will be set hundreds of years before the hobbit Smeagol discovered Sauron’s One Ring and began his tragic transformation into the miserable creature known as Gollum, but that character is about to get the spotlight in a new Gollum video game. Apple TV+ makes Facebook Watch look like a joke

Apple flexed its wallet today in a way Facebook has scared to do. Tech giants make money by the billions, not the millions, which should give them an easy way to break into premium video distribution: buy some must-see content. That’s the strategy I’ve been advocating for Facebook but that Apple actually took to heart. Tim Cook wrote lines of zeros on some checks, and suddenly Steven Spielberg, JJ Abrams, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, and Oprah became the well-known faces of Apple TV+. Fa...

‘Candyman’ Director Nia DaCosta Says Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is Not Replacing Original Candyman Tony Todd

Director Nia DaCosta has confirmed something we theorized about earlier this month: reports of Yahya Abdul-Mateen II taking over Tony Todd‘s role of Candyman in the Candyman reboot were not entirely accurate. The news of Abdul-Mateen II joining the film came with the claim that the Aquaman actor was the new Candyman, but according to DaCosta, that’s not correct. Who is playing the new Candyman? It looks as if there’s no easy answer to that. A month ago, Variety claimed that Aquaman‘s Black M...

Chinese censors incinerate entire run of a kickstarted Call of Cthulhu RPG sourcebook

Julio writes, "Sons of the Singularity is a small RPG publisher. Last year, they kickstarted The Sassoon Files, a sourcebook for the popular Call of Cthulhu RPG and Trail of Cthulhu RPG. As a lot of publishers, theydid the printing in China. The same day that the print was finished, a Chinese Government decided that it was "problematic", so they burned the entire print run. Targeting foreign publications is a first, specially when it seems there wasn't anything problematic (the supplement was b...
