Gunjou no Magmel Episode 1 Impression

Gunjou no Magmel is about a rescue specialist who takes requests to rescue explorers. On this episode, a sick boy hires Inyou to rescue his explorer brother. Later, they found the boy's brother. Wow, this series gives me the vibe of the "rescue version" of Phantasy Star Online or perhaps Monster Hunter games. Also, the male lead seems to be really cool and along with his operator assistant who controls a robot. Other than that, the world setting is quite interesting and can be really dark. Now w...

Kimetsu no Yaiba Episode 1 Impression

Kimetsu no Yaiba is about a boy on a journey to cure his demonic sister and slay demons. On this episode, Tanjirou leaves his family to do some errands. Later, he finds his family slaughtered and discovers the existence of demons. The introductory is just nice. I'm liking the characters, setting and action from first glance. Also, it could be even comparable to the current on-going Dororo remake. Other than that, I wonder how our male lead is going get trained. Now what's going to be the next plo...

Shoumetsu Toshi Episode 1 Impression

Shoumetsu Toshi is about a man and survivor girl on a journey to solve a mystery. On this episode, Takuya steals Yuki from a facility. Later, they discover a message. So I've played the mobile game during its launch. But, I didn't play the game long since it was't my cup of tea. Although, the game's story is good which this anime is based on. Anyway, the introductory is great and it might actually become one of the "higher ends" for a mobile game anime adaptation. Also, the mystery aura is cool....

News Post: Well Actually

Tycho: There are certainly complexities around the Yoshian mythos, but the aesthetics are impeccable.  It’s as though you’ve been given access to a range of light that exclusively communicates joy, and now you can see it. I grabbed it to play over the weekend with my shrieking larvae, and the boy was mortified by what he perceived as various concessions and deviations from the Old Ways, like the Egg Reticle not moving back and forth.  Yoshi’s Island is his favorite game, so some of this makes se...

News Post: Family D&D

Gabe: While at PAX this weekend I was asked by a number of people about running D&D with kids. I’ve recently switched up my home D&D game and I thought I’d share some of my key learnings. The first game I ran for my family was taken straight from Dragonlance. I used the first book Dragons of Autumn as a guide and it went pretty well. Kara and Gabe (who is 14) both loved it but Noah (who is 8) had a hard time getting into it. He tried his best and we managed to get through the first book but af...

‘Beetlejuice’ Sequel Is Dead, Won’t Be Returning From the Grave

You can try saying his name three times in a row, but it looks like Beetlejuice isn’t coming back. There’s been talk of a potential Beetlejuice sequel ever since Tim Burton‘s supernatural comedy arrived in 1988, but according to Burton himself, any prospect of a return of Michael Keaton‘s ghost with the most is dead. While this will no doubt break the hearts of Hot Topic shoppers everywhere, it’s probably for the best. In 2015, Lydia Deetz herself, Winona Ryder, confirmed the prospect of a B...
