Radio Dead ends as Steve Penk closes radio stations

Broadcaster Steve Penk has closed down two of his own radio stations after they became unsustainable. Complaints upheld against station playing Melting Pot by Blue Mink

Ofcom has found Black Diamond FM in breach of its community radio licence after two complaints were received about the station playing Melting Pot by Blue Mink. Sine FM in trouble for 65 swear words broadcast in one hour

Community radio station Sine FM in Doncaster has been found in breach of the Broadcast Code for playing a music mix containing over 60 swear words. The station says the presenter of High Definition, an Urban music show, was distracted by an urgent family phone call so selected an unedited mix of music tracks to play out by mistake. Radio St. Austell Bay in trouble again for its news bulletins

Radio St. Austell Bay has been found in breach of the Ofcom Broadcast Code for the second time this year for its news bulletins. Ofcom received four complaints that expressed concern that the 15-year-old presenter of Drivetime was laughing as he read out a news story at naming the victim of a fatal hit and run collision. Sam FM Solent strapline changes to The South’s Greatest Hits

Nation Broadcasting-owned Sam FM South Coast has switched to playing the Greatest Hits and introduced a new breakfast show with Tony Dibbin. Tony, who hails from the Sam FM TSA, was previously with Global’s Gold and currently hosts daytime on Bauer station Absolute 70s.
