Juice Wrld Popped “Several Unknown Pills” Before He Died, 70 Pounds of Marijuana Seized From Private Jet

Chicago police say Juice Wrld’s associates told them the rapper was popping “several unknown pills” before he suffered seizures and died, and on top of that, the FBI seized a huge stash of weed from their private jet, among other illegal things. TMZ reports that the FBI confiscated 70 pounds of weed from several suitcases on board the flight. The entertainment site obtained a photo of a bunch of open suitcases filled with huge bags of marijuana sitting in the private jet terminal at Chicago’s Mi...

Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld Episode 9 Impression

On this episode, Scheta counters the advancing Pugilists. Later, Renly's platoon attempts to counter defend against an assassination raid. I liked how Scheta appears out of nowhere with a strange aura when she fought the Pugilists by herself. Also, the assassination raid second battle is darkly intense which is cool. Other than that, the near ending surprisingly revealed a powerful character who counters the invaders and it's just hilariously awesome. Now what's going to happen next? I definitel...

Fate/Grand Order: Zettai Majuu Sensen Babylonia Episode 10 Impression

On this episode, Quetzalcoatl attacks Uruk to decrease their army. Later, Ritsuka's party raids Quetzalcoatl's temple with a new ally. It's interesting to see Quetzalcoatl attack Uruk city and explain her current hostile goals. Also, it's kinda awkward that Jaguar Man gets involved once again and causes more random comedy scenes. Other than that, I hope Ritsuka's party can defeat Quetzalcoatl soon. Now what's going to happen next? I'll be looking forward to it. Overall, interesting Uruk city att...

News Post: Apologetics

Tycho: Grabbing demos at PAX Unplugged - that is to say, learning complicated new things - is pretty much all I wanna do.  Some of the trendlines in the industry are really going my way, and there’s a lot of evidence for that.  I meant to discuss it with Eric Lang when we were opening the show, but we didn’t get around to it because he’s too interesting.  I’d been stressing out about that Keynote/Storytime for a couple weeks, which is kind of my thing, so I wanted to meet up with him before the ...

Juice Wrld Reportedly Swallowed a Bunch of Percocets to Hide From the Feds Before He Died of a Seizure

Juice Wrld may have caused his own death by swallowing a bunch of Percocet pills in a desperate attempt to hide them from federal agents as they searched his luggage for drugs and guns at Chicago’s Midway Airport Sunday (Dec. 8). According to TMZ, the pilot flying the rapper’s private jet tipped off authorities that members of Juice’s entourage were in possession of contraband (i.e. drugs and weapons), and when Juice and co. landed in Chicago around 1:30 a.m. early Sunday morning, the feds were ...

More Radio Fun?

So, I recently wrote about Radio Fun, a publication by Wayne Green, W2NSD (SK). Billed as “The beginner’s guide to the exciting world of amateur radio,” the tabloid was published for several years in the early 1990s. It’s a decent publication, and some of the wit and wisdom contained therein is still relevant today. Wayne’s advice on ragchewing is a good example. The technology may change, but advice like this is still worth reading today. When Steve, KB9MWR, read my first post on Radio Fun, he...

Watch: David Ehrlich's 'The 25 Best Films of 2019' Video Countdown

"We've been down this road before…" It's here! One of the annual must-see best of the year lists is actually a video countdown made by my colleague David Ehrlich (follow him @davidehrlich). He counts down his 25 best films of the year in a video edited together with footage and music from each of the films. This is such an entertaining way to count down the best cinema of 2019, and it always makes me want to watch each one of these (even the ones I've seen already). His choices this year are...

#TwistedTropes 25. Schindler's shopping list

Image from Wikimedia Commons Oskar Schindler was an industrialist, playboy and philanthropist during the Nazi occupation of Europe. Schindler's 'list' refers to his quiet defiance of Hitler's murderous regime when he saved several hundred of his Jewish employees from the Nazi death camps. Thomas Keneally's 1982 book Schindler's Ark tells the story of his high risk strategies to save his workers from the Nazis. When Hollywood film director Steven Spielberg acquired the film rights, he was...

It’s time for the week in review. Is this the third? Or maybe it’s two. What happened this week in Southern Baptist life? There was no fussing, no cussing, no strife. Paige Patterson authored a letter, That doesn’t make him look any better. Maybe he thought no one would see How he questioned Luter’s views of inerrancy. But now there’s another stain on his legacy.. Someone should have taught him about brevity.. My daughter had to bury her fish at sea. I should’ve broke th...

How does criticism affect popular culture?

Popularity has a funny way of correcting or reversing itself, says journalist and film critic A.O. Scott. It's a weird and fickle index—never identical to quality, though it can coincide with it.Movies like Avatar that are capitalist consumer hits can fade over time. Meanwhile works that were initially passed over can be dredged out of forgotten corners to glory many years later.Moby Dick is an example of how critics can turn the tide of popularity, for better and for worse. First, critics dismi...
