Shinchou Yuusha Episode 12 Final Impression

On this episode, Seiya fights against the S-rank Demon Lord. Later, the Demon Lord persists to attack. Wow, the battle finale was really serious and didn't have much comedy in it which is awesome. Also, it was cool to see Ristarte intervene to keep Seiya alive from being fully destroyed by the Chain of Destruction. Other than that, the ending is tragic and nice at the same time. Now will there be a second season? I would really want one since I really enjoyed this series. Overall, awesome battl...

Percy Crosby's daughter, and defender, Joan Tibbetts has died

Today's Washington Post has a very minor obituary for Joan Tibbetts, a local woman who fiercely defended the reputation of her father Percy Crosby, and his strip Skippy. Joan Tibbetts,  estate administrator Washington Post December 28 2019 https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/2019/12/27/b09d0a7a-2904-11ea-9c21-2c2a4d2c2166_story.html I think everyone who wrote about comics in the DC area was probably contacted at one time or another by Mrs. Tibbetts. I certainly was. Her father...

Spellbound v2 #3 - non-attributed Marshall Rogers cover

Marshall Rogers Spellbound v2 #3, 1988 - Marshall Rogers does a marvelous piece of design for this complex cover. The heroine's body is in free fall while the story's antagonist looms large behind her. Although the creature's left hand thumbs appears to have been mis-colored white rather than green, his right hand's dagger-like fingernails conveniently point toward the central character. Ochi Mono RPG Seikishi Luvilias Completely Overwhelmed by Lust

Not a single vagina has been spared in Ochi Mono RPG Seikishi Luvilias as all four of the main women (the main tan elf girl included) and even several NPCs have been ravaged relentlessly by hordes of males, implementing some strange fetishes as well such as a melting vaginal candle and slime tentacle-based stomach bulging. Mairimashita! Iruma-kun Episode 13 Impression

On this episode, Iruma decides on a Battler to join. Meanwhile, Sullivan attends the Thirteenth's Dinner meeting. So I wasn't really expecting Iruma to join the Magical Apparatus Battler. But, it does make sense since the president and him have some common traits like lacking magic. Also, it was very adorable to see Amelie's worried reactions for Iruma. Other than that, the near ending is a really interesting big surprise twist for Sullivan. Now what's going to happen next? I can't wait to find ...

Maitetsu Anime Adaptation Announced

Train anthropomorphization eroge Maitetsu -Pure Station- will be broadcasting on Japanese TV in anime form sometime in 2020, albeit in 5-minute intervals, thus likely to only prove entertaining (and comprehensible) to those who read through the hours-long visual novel. The announcement was spotted at Comiket 97, along with a rather uneventful PV video declaring the […]

Comiket 97 Day 1 Cosplay Couldn’t Be Any More Festive

Comiket 97 has been progressing rather smoothly as far as cosplay appearances are concerned as various girls have easily attained the spotlight for either their sex appeal or cuteness, no doubt a central focus for certain photographers (who are likely hoping to spot any and all “accidents”). Given the indescribable size of the event, characters […]

Kevin Smith and a ‘Star Wars’ Icon Confirm Two More ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ Cameos

Not long after Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was released, we rounded up the biggest cameos made throughout the finale of the Skywalker saga. However, as has become customary with this new trilogy, there are some bonus cameos that weren’t so easily spotted or named during the credits. Two more of them have just come to light with director and long-time Star Wars fan Kevin Smith confirming a stealthy cameo he made, and a certain Star Wars legend having a second role in the movie. But for thos...

2019: What A Year

2019 seems to have stomped by in adjective-defying ways, with giant lows and highs. And that’s just my own life. I don’t make resolutions or choose a word for the coming year, valuable as those traditions may be for others. But I do have a ritual for the end of the year. I take down … Continue reading 2019: What A Year

Original Content podcast: Netflix’s ‘Witcher’ shows off big muscles and bigger monsters

It’s easy to see “The Witcher” as Netflix’s answer to “Game of Thrones,” thanks to its impressive special effects and its big movie star lead (Henry Cavill, previously best known as Superman in the recent DC films) — not to mention its willingness to put blood, guts and naked female bodies on-screen. But in other ways, “The Witcher” feels like a throwback to an earlier generation of fantasy TV, and to shows like “Xena: Warrior Princess.” While longer storylines weave their way through the eig...

Ryan Reynolds Confirms ‘Deadpool 3’ in the Works at Marvel Studios, Because Money Still Has Value

Deadpool arrived on the scene with a bang as one of 20th Century Fox’s biggest successes in recent memory. The sequel was one of those rare follow-ups that performed nearly as well as its predecessor, dropping only slightly in the domestic and global box office. But now the R-rated, fourth wall-breaking Merc with a Mouth has a new home thanks to the purchase of 20th Century Fox by The Walt Disney Company. Fans have been wondering what the future holds for the mostly jolly guy in the red suit pl...

Two Hours and Fourteen Minutes of Intense Anxiety

Amy and I went to see Uncut Gems last night. It was a gem of a movie. Adam Sandler was magnificent. My inner 14 year old loves his puerile movies and when I read the New York Times Magazine article Adam Sandler’s Everlasting Shtick around Thanksgiving I knew I had to see this movie. Amy and I had a calm sushi dinner at our favorite place in Longmont, went to Staples and bought some office supplies, and then settled into the theater for 30 minutes of previews. We sort of knew wh...

Australian Man Arrested over “Child-Like” Silicone Butt

Another man has been arrested for trying to import a sex doll of “child-like” proportions, with the doll in question, however, merely being the bottom half, which was apparently all the authorities needed to determine that the hunk of silicone was underage and non-consenting. Australian Border Force investigators also discovered that the 26-year-old man (arriving […]

This Week In Trailers: The Climb, Jamtara, The Truth, High Fidelity, Journeys Through French Cinema

Trailers are an under-appreciated art form insofar that many times they’re seen as vehicles for showing footage, explaining films away, or showing their hand about what moviegoers can expect. Foreign, domestic, independent, big budget: What better way to hone your skills as a thoughtful moviegoer than by deconstructing these little pieces of advertising? This week we test the bonds of friendship, test the bonds of family, try to scam our way to the top, and reflect once more on how France has c...
