Millions in the UK are Using Vulnerable Passwords

Source: StatistaMillions of people across the UK are using insecure passwords. A new analysis conducted by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) found that “123456” was the most widely used password on accounts breached by cyber attacks. It appeared more than 23 million times while the second most popular was “123456789” which was documented 7.7 million times. The other entries in the top-five included “qwerty” (3.8m), “password” (3.6m) and “1111111” (3.1m).

China are the biggest source of spam, accounting for 12 percent of global spam traffic. The U.S. was in second place (9 percent) with Germany taking third place (7 percent). In good news though, the total spam traffic in 2018 was 4 percent lower than it was in 2017.
