Smith and Wesson Model 69 Combat Magnum .44 Mag – Review GRAND RAPIDS, MI USA -(Ammoland.com)- I have often found myself in conversation, be it at the range or gun store, debating why more people don’t carry the .44 Magnum on a regular basis. A Pentameter of Poetry...

A small regathering of the Candlestick Chapter has been convened and we have been busy reading the latest pamphlets (Robins, Christmas Lights, and, pre-empting the Chapter verdict but I loved it, an exquisite short story The All Night Bookshop) and will be reporting back on them dreckly. Meanwhile I thought I would parade a pentameter of poetry books that are by my side at the moment, and likely to stay there for a while because it takes me months to read a collection of poetry properly. Seamus...

[Indo Defense 2018] MKE’s Bora-12 Precision Rifle, Orders Taken

The JMK Bora-12 (or JNG-90) isn’t exactly new or groundbreaking as the Turkish state-owned arms company MKEK has been working on it since 2004. Essentially updating the design, the Bora-12 is going to start to see wider use in the Turkish Land […] Read More … The post [Indo Defense 2018] MKE’s Bora-12 Precision Rifle, Orders Taken appeared first on The Firearm Blog.

Is Calibre getting slower in converting formats?

Has anyone noticed that newer versions of Calibre (released in the last few weeks/months) seem to be getting slower at converting AZW3 books to EPUB? I don't have any hard test data on this, just a general feeling that the "typical" book used to convert in about ten seconds on my computer, but now it's taking up to two minutes (sometimes even longer). Obviously there will be book to book variations with length, amount of graphics, and who knows what else. I remember converting the Bible once,...

The most destructive of weapons

The most destructive of weapons is not the spear or the siege cannon, which can wound a body and demolish a wall. The most terrible of all weapons is the word, which can ruin a life without leaving a trace of blood, and whose wounds never heal. Let us, then, be the masters of our […]

confused

I'm not sure why, but CC requires wifi when connecting to both content server and wireless device. If I even think about trying to use CC over my mobile net connection, it won't work. I can access Calibre via browser, but it would be nice if I can access with CC on my phone and my tablet both.
