Funko – Pop! Candy: Peeps

I grew up on Peeps - almost literally. I lived a few miles from the spot where Peeps are produced, by Just Born Inc., in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. So, these marshmallow candies were always a favorite of mine (the key is to let them get stale). Of course, if they are popular in pop culture...it's likely Funko will fit their into their Pop! lineup. Hence...the Pop! Candy: Peeps . The Pink Bunny and Yellow Bunny are standard releases, while the Blue Bunny is a FYE Exclusive and the Lavender Bunny...

Did You Accidentally Help Bloomberg Today?

Did You Accidentally Help Bloomberg Today? United States – -(AmmoLand.com)- Let’s be honest: Former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg is one of the most dangerous threats to our Second Amendment rights. He has a lot of money, and he uses it to push an anti-Second Amendment agenda through. He gets a lot of help from Hollywood and a large chunk of the media. It’s a very formidable alliance. Sadly, he also gets help from some Second Amendment supporters. Now, I don’t think any Second Amendme...

Feinstein Ban on Semiautos Deliberately Undermines ‘Security of a Free State’

Configuration for sending with gmail

First let me say, I can send email to my Kindle, or even my gmail account with no problems. However, a friend began having problems sending via his gmail account so I'm trying to help. I can't find any configuration for sending out email. I see a form in preferences - Sharing by email - but all fields are blank except port, which says 19. So, how does Calibre know how to send the email? Is that information all hidden? Normally, it would at least show some fields, with the password and per...

Apparently, there's some big trouble coming soon from the folks at FLABSLAB. As in the Big Trouble figure (pictured above) featuring the likeness of actor Gerald Okamura in the cult classic film - Big Trouble In Little China. No word yet on when - or how much - this piece will be released (for).

Why We Continue to Have School Murders

Students are brought out of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School after a shooting at the school U.S.A. (Ammoland.com)- Why have there been any more school murders in the USA since the attack at Columbine High School two decades ago? Violent attacks aren’t a mystery. We know why murderers kill. Narcissistic psychopaths and disgruntled sociopaths kill because the media turns these murderers into celebrities. We know the kind of targets they want. We know they will attack unarmed groups of p...

Becoming More Curiously Creative

With the new year well on its way, I’m thinking about what’s in store for myself in 2019: what things I want to associate with, what work I’ll do, what activities I’ll plan, how I’ll be creative. So much to think about, a bit overwhelming. But I’m going to go with the FLOW, which is my word for this year. At the heart of that flow will be curiosity. I am becoming more and more curious, about everything really. It’s as if I’ve been born again and this big wide world is all so new and I’m discover...

Folder naming frustrations...

Hi. i have a book with the author name Alan Kazdin, author sort is Kazdin, Alan. FIle naming template is {author_sort}/{title}/{title} - {authors} For some reason this book is filed under Alan Kazdin, not Kazdin, Alan. I have changed the author and author sort to just 'Kazdin' and the folder name changes, however, when I then change author name to A Kazdin, and author sort to Kazdin, A the folder name goes to A Kazdin. Any idea what could be happening? PS, just tried something else. If i ch...

The Masters of the Universe reboot that Hollywood refuses to let die has found new writers: Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, who are responsible for the script of another reboot: Men In Black International. Adam and Aaron Nee, who helmed the quirky indie flick Band of Robbers, are directing the movie, which will once again attempt to bring He-Man to the big screen. Remember that Masters of the Universe reboot? The one that has been kicking around tinseltown since at least 2007? Here’s a new upd...

2nd Amendment Under Attack in Maine

2nd Amendment Under Attack in Maine Maine has always been a beautiful place for sportsmen and a well know place for those who like to hunt! Maine has also been very gun friendly for as long as one can remember. Well, that could be changing very soon as 25 anti-gun bills have been submitted in the 129th Legislative Session. It’s all there…Red Flag, Magazine Ban, UNiversal Background Checks, etc.  No stone has been left unturned by those who will stop at nothing when it comes to stripping the 2n...

The Best Smarthome Products We Saw at CES 2019

Every year, CES is chock full of smarthome tech. So much so that there’s even an entire dedicated space on the show floor to just smarthome companies. Here are the best new smarthome devices we saw at CES this year. Voice Assistant Smart Switches Many new products we saw on the show floor weren’t necessarily “new” or revolutionary, but rather many companies have come out with their own versions from young product categories, and that includes smart switches with built-in voice assistants. How to Set a Volume Limit for Apple Music on iPhone and iPad

Your hearing is important, and if you lose it, you can’t get it back. We all like to listen to loud music, but limiting the volume is vital, especially for kids. Here, we explain how to limit the volume of Apple Music. Parents know that making sure their children don’t destroy their hearing by listening to music too loudly is important, but as anyone with children will attest, simply making that statement isn’t always enough to ensure compliance. It’s not that children actively like to disobey—...

3 Months Later, Bing Is Still Suggesting Horrifying Things

Bing is cesspool of filth and Microsoft has just been spraying air freshener. We reported on Bing’s horrifying search suggestions back in October, and Microsoft promised to fix it. Now, a TechCrunch investigation found even worse child exploitation content. TechCrunch had an in-depth investigation performed by a AntiToxin, an online safety company that works with Israeli authorities, and that company found large amounts of child pornography on Bing’s image search. This is especially shocking be...

11 ways to be more self-sufficient in the new year

Couch to 50 yards...

It really was a mistake to whisper the words 'Couch to 5k' within earshot of Offspringette. Having added the Personal Trainer string to her bow whilst in New Zealand, she was on it in a flash and once I had downloaded the app there was no going back. In fairness I had been considering it for a while. Whilst I do a fair few summer miles up on Dartmoor, the regular winter miles are more elusive, and I could definitely feel the lack of fitness creeping up and the pounds creeping on...but running.....

AWZ(3) vs KFX

Hello folks Ive been a Calibre user for years and used EPUB until now. Got myself an Oasis, and thought ill better covert some 5k book to mobi (some are already in movie and epub format). Have read read loads and loads of MOBI vs AWZ vs AWZ3 vs KFX - jee , I am more confused than I was when I started. I want to have the best possible option, not too bothered about size etc. Also thought of getting rid of all the other formats, as I doubt Ill ever use an iPad again to read, after the Oasis ...
