Likebook Mimas PDF

I just got the Likebook Mimas. I like the ease of writing on PDF's but when I save it I can't open the 'Teil' PDF file in Windows 10. I've tried Foxit Reader, Chrome and Edge. All say the file is corrupted! I have no problems opening PDF's created in the Likebook Note app. How do I open the 'Teil' files please? One other issue, the light on the Mimas appears dimmer than the light on my Likebook Mars. To get the same brightness I have to increase the setting much higher in the Mimas. Is that a f...

Greetings from Sacramento, CA!

I've finally decided to bite the eReader trend. My wife has had a Kindle Paperwhite for about a year. I'm not a fan of being stuck to a specific food chain. I considered the BN Glowlight but just didn't take the bite. Been watching the Kobo line. From reviews, the Clara HD just seemed like the one to grab. Then when I saw the $99 for Mothers Day sale at Walmart, I decided I'd man up and buy one for myself. It will arrive on May 10. I looking for a case. Seems the $40 for the OEM is a li...

POTD: Maschinengewehr 74

The highlight of any training within the military? Shooting fully automatic firearms for sure, as well as blowing things up, and in Today’s Photo, you can see soldiers of the Austrian Bundesheer working their issued Maschinengewehr 74. Perhaps running with the 12 kg heavy (plus ammo and other gear) isn’t the highlight of the day, […] Read More … The post POTD: Maschinengewehr 74 appeared first on The Firearm Blog.

How would you know?

There's one thing in particular that really puzzles me about pharmaceutical commercials."Sufferers of Sweaty Elbow Syndrome can relax. Clinical trials have shown that Placebon causes up to a 7.5% drop in elbow sweat production in almost half of users. If you or someone you love are living with SES, ask your health care provider about Placebon. In rare cases, patients reported depression and suicidal thoughts. Stop taking Placebon and see your health care provider if these occur. Side effects are...

Default description font size huge

Why is my default description font size 24 px Noto Google font? I started having this issue recently, where what I thought was plaintext that I paste into a book's description field is changed into that font/size in the HTML tags. For example, why do I have these sort of tags: Code: ?

New Brandeins Recipe

Hi everyone, someone notified me that the original Brandeins recipe is no longer working. I saw that someone updated my original one in the meantime. Unfortunately, they changed their website once again, so I had to basically re-write the recipe. Also bad news, some of the sections, divs or classes have generated identifiers, so I needed to identify some elements by text. Anyways, here we go, I'd appreciate if some of you on here could test it as well, before I would recommend to replace this...

"Loading please wait..." message when accessing the server by IP

Hi, I installed calibre on an Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and started the contentserver. After accessing the server from another system or by using the IP of the system (on the system the server runs on) the server only displays the "Loading please wait" message. If I access it using "localhost" instead of the IP it works fine. I tried it both as a headless server as well as the calibre integrated server. Can someone please help me to understand why I am getting this message if I use the IP? Thanks. ...

Six on Saturday 4th May 2019

I would like to claim that this subtle combination of Thermopsis, the pale yellow tulips and the Euphorbia in the background was planned but it wasn’t.  I can even remember planting the pale yellow tulips and they don’t appear on my bulb order form last Autumn so I am wondering if in a moment of... Likebook Air Firmware

Hi My current e-reader T62D has a bright spot when using the built in light. I guess it's some sort of blemish in the "defuse layer". Anyway lately it's been annoying me constantly. So I've been looking for a new e-reader. I would like to get the Likebook Air (T65s I think) but sadly I can't find anything in regards to firmware mods like Gonyx. It would be fine if the device works well out of the box but I've read reviews that this one also tends to freeze/crash at random intervals with the st...

how to import two libraries with same name but different content

I accidentally installed two parallel version (3.40 & 3.34) of calibre, one on C: drive and one on E: drive. Before updating WIn 10 update on my computer, I exported from both versions the same libraries to restore if the win10 update crashes like last year. I then updated ver 3.34 to ver 3.42, but it deleted the 3.40 ver on the other drive when doing the update. Now I have 3.42 calibre in one location. If I import back the books from one version, will the import from the seconf version overwr...

My shelves

I started creating shelves to organize all my books by tags in Calibre and now Im just wondering if the only way to get it to sort them is if I have to delete all the books already on my kobo and then re-download them all back onto it for this effect to take change?

Calibre won't read epubs anymore

Hi, I'm having a problem with all my epubs in calibre (I'm talking about purchased ones, all of epubs basically). PDF, even pdf versions of those epubs, always work just fine. Everytime I try to open one with ebook-viewer, there's a blue question mark either covering the whole page, or a small one on the upper left corner. If I open the pdf version, which I always create, it work. The weird thing is, thinking it very unlikely that they all were corrupted at the same time, I downloaded Adobe dig...

Weekend Cooking: 20 Recipes Kids Should Know by Esme Washburn

I have a fairly short cookbook review for today, but short in words doesn't equal short on love. This is a cookbook that you might consider for yourself, your kids, or your recent college grad. To jump to the chase: Esme Washburn's 20 Recipes Kids Should Know (Prestel Junior, April 2) may be my new go-to gift for inexperienced home cooks. Personally, I'd change the title of this book to 20 recipes everyone should know, but that's just me. This cookbook was written by Esme Washburn, a 12-year...

Edit focus lost with Control key

Hi, recently i switched from Debian testing to Ubuntu Bionic, Calibre version is 3.42. When i edit text fields of a book record and f.ex. want to paste something from clipboard (control v) or jump by word in the field (control left or right), immediately the field edit focus is lost and i'm out of edit mode, while the book record stays marked. The button "Virtual library" has focus now, though. The older paste, copy and cut shortcuts without control do work, which i find much clumsier, though...

AmmoLand Interview With Country Music Star, Brodie Stewart ~ VIDEO

John Crump interviews country star, Brodie Stewart on the making of his brand new record album Born American. U.S.A. –-(Ammoland.com)-At first glance, Brodie Stewart background wouldn't lend itself to turning him into a country music star. Brodie grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. That doesn't mean he wasn't a cowboy at heart. With a love of rodeo and music, he embraced country music, but country music wasn't his first foray into the music business. Brodie was initially the lead singer of...
