...and people in hell want ice water.

Gun stores being deemed "essential" has got the usual suspects all assmad about it.The head of Everytown for Gun Grabbing was given an op-ed at CNN.com to have his hissy fit:"Much is still unknown about Covid-19, but one thing is certain: Owning a gun does not make you any safer from it. But that didn't stop the Trump administration from caving to the firearm industry by treating gun store workers just like the real frontline responders-- police, doctors, nurses-- in new advisory guidelines issu...

TFB Review: Kalashnikov KP-9 SBR – The Russian MP5?

I have a DOCX with footnotes that I wanna turn to pop-up notes in ePub on Kobo Forma

I'm using Willus's "most recommend solution" of getting PDF converted to ePub. His "most recommend solution" is using MS Word as the middle man. https://www.willus.com/k2pdfopt/pdf_conversion.shtml A non-fiction book I have converted from PDF to middle-man-format DOCX has footnotes. What do I do if I want to prepare them for ePub? When it's in ePub format, when I tap on the superscript in the main body of the text, I want to see the footnote pop up, just as in other ePubs I've read. Should...

Glock 44 .22LR Success? First Rounds – Review

Glock 44 U.S.A. –-(Ammoland.com)- December is always a tricky time to launch new products.  In one aspect it's nice to build hype just prior to January's annual SHOT show.  It's also true that announcements dropped during one of the busiest and most stressful times of the year can sometimes go unheralded.  The latter option seems to have been the case when Glock announced the G44, their first handgun chambered in .22 LR, during 2019's final month.  Many people have clamored for Glock to produ...

how to see real names in kindle library

Is there a way to see 'real' ebook titles rather than the kindle format when doing an 'add books' to Calibre? I encountered sort of a problem today after buying 2 books from Amazon. Along with the 2 purchased books, what got downloaded to the kindle libary were 3 books that were previously purchased & presumably gotten updated/fixed. As the updated books are shown with the kindle title format, it was a guessing game to figure which books were actually purchased today as all the updated books ...

Masks and Scrub Caps

My husband has been working from home for 4 1/2 weeks now. I’ve been doing a lot of sewing this past week. I made 28 scrub caps. Then I decided I needed to make masks for family, and my postal workers. I spent a day testing out patterns because I quickly discovered that when it comes to masks, one-size does not fit all. This is the one that fit me best. Here is a link that has a variety of styles. I have been consulting with 2 other people about making the scrub caps and we have rewo...

South Carolina: Gov. McMaster Protects Second Amendment Rights

The Crescent Moon and Palmetto adorn the South Carolina state flag. U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster expanded policies designed to limit citizen's exposure to the Coronavirus, and stem its spread. One aspect of these expanded policies is the tightening of occupancy restrictions on commercial buildings. Starting today, no building shall have more than 5 customers per 1,000 square feet of retail space. This could be devastating to small businesses like gun shops, bu...

Smallest/lightest 6" Eink Reader?

My lightest is the Sony PRS-T3 at 7.6 ounces with the factory lighted cover. Also the narrowest at about 108 mm. Height is about 159mm. Both measurements in the lighted cover. My Kobo Aura, cased, is shorter vertically but considerably wider and heavier. The 5" Sony 350 and Kobo Mini are similar weight to the PRS-T3 but a bit shorter vertically. In factory cases they are both wider than the T3. None of my Kindle or Nook 6" readers compare with the size and weight of the T3.

Font shows up as four fonts

Hi, I use several third party fonts on my Kobo Clara HD without issue. Today I downloaded a font in OTF format. I used Cloudconvert.com to convert the OTF files to TTF. Then I gave them the familiar names: FontName-Regular, Italic, Bold and BoldItalic. Now when I go to my font menu, this font shows as four fonts: FontName-Book (?), BookItalic, Bold and BoldItalic. Is there anything I did wrong? Any idea what I could do to fix it?
