Mobi files which allow custom fonts?

Hi! This is my first post at this community. I was wondering if someone could please help me. Here's the thing: I've got a Kindle 7 and, unless I convert .mobi files into .azw3 format, I'm unable to switch to my custom fonts. *But* the other day I found not one but two books in .mobi format which allow me to choose those custom fonts, without converting to .azw3 or any other format. How can this be possible? If there's a way to change fonts while reading a .mobi ebook, which is it? (Is there a...

Kobo Forma mini USB cable

Man I hate mini USB. I have to dig out my reading glasses every time I charge a device using that adapter. I received my new Kobo Forma on Friday and I love it! It uses a mini USB connection. However the cable supplied with the device doesn’t appear to have an up or down orientation like every other mini USB cable I have seen. The Forma female connection does appear to have an orientation. Is this a new type of reversible cable or do I need to up the magnification on my reading glasses?:chin...

Useful Idiots Pointing Pistols at Groins Play into Provocateur Hands

You have to wonder what kind of moron would do or approve of this and believe the disapproving reaction by others is what should be ridiculed. (Vice/Twitter) U.S.A. – -(Ammoland.com)- “Gun owners are putting their metal where their manhoods are in a bizarre trend that sees men courting danger to prove how well they can manage a gun,” The Guardian reported Saturday. “Those participating in the meme do so by pointing their gun at their genitals with the safety off, placing their finger over the...

The Sandler Stak Chair

A “classic of British design,” the Sandler Stak Chair is a light and bright piece that’ll help chase away the pandemic blues. With a tubular steel frame and pressed steel seat and back, Stak exemplifies slick and streamlined production processes. Another way of saying this is that Stak is a great representative of high-tech design—it’s lightweight, durable, tough, and tenacious. And Stak’s distinctive perforated seat and back give it a unique personality. Stak...

How to start Calibre for macOS in debug mode

(2) Where will the debug log file be saved? In my present situation, my Calibre goes into an endless loop as soon as I click on Preferences, and has to be force-quit.

Moving device library to another device

Sometimes devices die, and sometimes it's time to get a new and better one. My wife just changed devices (from the ancient Kobo Mini to a modern basic model, the Clara). I spent an inordinate amount of time replicating the library on the Mini on the Clara, eventually transferring all of them to the new device via Calibre. Is there no way to track the content of a device, within Calibre? It would be great if there was a way to replicate the on-device library to a new device, which would requir...
