Some Calibre configuration disappeared

Hi all - today I opened my Calibre after about 4 days inactivity and was surprised how the title page changed. The Main toolbar is different - installed plugins disappeared, when I click Choose Library I can only see the last library, the other libraries are not available (there is nothing wrong with those libraries, they are still where they used to be on my HDs). Hello everyone! Today I kinda mess up. I was working on my Kindle 4 (firmware 4.1.4) and, as the title suggests, I accidentally deleted /etc/upstart folder. I'm pretty sure it won't boot if I restart it. Now it's powered on and working (and also charging), but I don't know what to do. Any tips? Thanks in advance.

Pipe Symbol

So on my Pocketbook Touch HD 3 keyboard, there is no pipe symbol (it looks like this: | ). This is a problem because the wifi password has that symbol in it, and I cannot connect to the network. Do any of you know how to get that symbol, because I already asked my parents to change the wifi password and they wouldn't. Thanks!

Goodreads problem

I've tried many times to set up Goodreads in KOreader (the secret is SO long!) but am sure I typed in the whole thing correctly. The only way to test it (as it doesn't give you a direct response) is to my knowledge to search something. Every search has failed even though I checked and double checked the key and secret. How do I find out what is going wrong?

Organizing books on Kindle?

I don't have a particularly large collection, but I do like the idea of keeping things in folders organized by series or topic. I noticed an option labeled "create new collection" on my kindle paperwhite, but I don't know if it will play nice with books put on my kindle via calibre. Any tips or ideas on keeping things organized would be appreciated. I would really like to do subfolders but just being able to keep everything in a series together is enough for me.
