Hi, like the title says neither the main program, ebook editor or viewer will start for me anymore after several years of using this program. It won't start in safe mode It briefly appears in task manager but then goes away I've tried reinstalling it, removing the configuration files in %appdata% and reinstalling it. List of book languages

Is there a list of the languages available in the Edit Metadata dropdown? Searching the source code in GitHub didn't bring up anything. I noticed a few unexpected ones in the list...Klingon and Sindarin, and at least a few dozen sign languages (not even sure how that would work...pictographs? video-books?).

Cool Reader Forgetting Current Book

Decided to get back into Cool Reader after a rough spot using it with Calibre Companion. Now, if I tell Calibre Companion to start reading a book using Cool Reader, it opens fine, but if I reboot the device (Fire Tablet) and restart Cool Reader, it not only doesn't open the book, it doesn't even appear on the Recent Book list. Downgrading Calibre

I have been sticking with the current release of Calibre to this point, but I now am finding that a critical plugin does not work with this release at present. The creator of the plugin says to "stick with Calibre 4.23" for now. I am running 5.50 at this point. Is there a way to run a plugin that works with 4.23, perhaps from the linux terminal window, that will not work in 5.50 itself? If not, how do I downgrade safely to 4.23 until such time as this plugin is updated to work with Calibe 5....
