Friday Night Lights: Nocorium Update And A Peek Under The NVG Wraps

Last month I wrote about the new company, Nocorium. At the time I wrote that, Alex of Nocorium only had wraps for three devices; PVS-14, RNVG, and DTNVG. However, Alex had already forged on ahead wrapping other devices. I previewed a handful of them last month and that only scratched the surface. In this weekly […] Read More … The post Friday Night Lights: Nocorium Update And A Peek Under The NVG Wraps appeared first on The Firearm Blog.

I’ve been trying to remember the last time I did a puzzle and I think it might have been with Offspringette who was staying here in the weeks before she headed off to New Zealand. That was over eight years ago, and we’d been sorting her ‘stuff’ in the loft. I wonder if your children do, or did this. For a few years, their often peripatetic lives mean no permanent base, so they come home with boxes and say ‘I’ll just put this in the loft,’ and so it goes on...and on. Our biggest mistake was pro...

Cover image does not display after replace

Hi! I am writing a booklet and started using Apple Pages as editor. I was not able to create a good eBook with this so I installed Sigil, cleaned up the mess Pages created and now have a working book in english which I would like to publish. Before I do this I would also like to have it translated to my native language, Norwegian so I have started on the translation. I then also had to create a new cover image. I added this to the image folder in Sigil, deleted the old one and used the Add Cove...

GHOSTED: ATF Visiting End Users; Requesting Forfeiture Of Polymer80 Kits

Earlier today TFB reported on a story in the Wall Street Journal stating that the ATF had apparently conducted a search warrant at Polymer80 Inc, a company known for producing 80% firearm kits and related parts. Mr, tablet, and Chrome

I'm currently using Firefox on my tablet to view MR so I can change the font size and forums expand to the full width of the screen. I'd like to use Chrome, but the font size is too small. I changed the setting to make the font larger and overide zooming of font, but no luck. Is there anyway to get chrome to work like Firefox. Thanks.

How much would you pay for a classics subscription?

Hello Mobilereaders! Newbie, overwhelmed, astonished member here....! The question is for a reading app on mobile/tablet that has classics (old + popular) ebooks. The feature list is something I can better show than tell, but my question is centered more around content. What could be an ideal subscription price one would pay? This does not allow to download desired books, but the subscription obviously delivers pre-curated (popular old classics) 10+ books per month to read. I am about to r...

Jerry Seinfeld shares 45 years of comedy bits in new book, ‘Is This Anything?’

By John Rogers Forget the high-performance sports cars, the luxury Rolls-Royces and all those other classic automobiles in which Jerry Seinfeld ushers his fellow comics to the diner on television’s “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.” The most valuable things Seinfeld owns are the thousands of pieces of paper — yellow, scribbled over, sometimes crumpled — that for years he’s been cramming into those brown accordion folders that were once a staple of storage until something better came along calle...

‘Ma Rainey’ star recalls working with Chadwick Boseman: ‘His loss is truly profound’

f”Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” is many things. It was first known for being August Wilson’s first Broadway play. Then when Denzel Washington decided to produce a film version for Netflix, it became known as the second of Wilson’s 10-play American Century Cycle that Washington had brought to the screen. Now, tragically, the film will be known as Chadwick Boseman’s final screen performance before his death from cancer this summer at the age of 43. Boseman’s fiery portrayal of Levee, a flamboya...

Error message: Invalid image: cannot identify image file

Is the any way to repair this? Calibre 5.6, win10; epub generated with oxygen 20.1 from docbook source file by ant. There are two error in total. what can I do to get rid of this. A third error (complaining about an empty image) I could repair by exchanging it in Calibre's book editor. But the other two are resilient, unfortunately. When I open the ebook the images are there. Very strange. Kind regards!

Reduce Brightness on Touch Lux 3

I initially bought a Pocket Book Touch Lux 2 and later the Touch Lux 3 because it had the possibility to dim its brightness very low which was very comfortable for reading at night. Recently I did an update to version U626.5.20.1157 which brought nice updates but since this update the lowest setting for the light is very bright. ;-) Well, I could try to downgrade the system until I end up with the wanted behavior. But since I could not find anything in the change logs of Pocket Book about thi...

Modulo Stone Flex by Easy Drain

Modulo Stone Flex, from Easy Drain, is a hidden linear drain system designed to incorporate into marble showers and other showers with natural stone floors. Because it’s installed from wall to wall, it offers a clean look with minimal disruption to the surface. The frame-less design works with floors of any thickness. The drain mechanism is entirely concealed beneath the shower floor. As befits the name, it’s also easy to clean, with a simple hidden lever that allows i...

Failed Gun Control Lessons From the Firearms Black Market

Opinion by Alan J Chwick & Joanne D Eisen Failed Gun Control Lessons From the Firearms Black Market USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- While our country has been trapped in a political-election-nightmare, one thing has remained the same, Democrats want more gun-control laws. And Republicans will eventually, reluctantly, cave to the hysterical demand to “do something.” Anne Stave, a reporter with the Columbus Dispatch, reminded her readers of the anniversary of the mass murder outside the Ned Pepper's B...

Is there a way to disable the animation?

Is there a way to stop warning messages?

Since I've been buying most books from Amazon lately, the azw3 conversion to epub leaves many books with the number of the chapter split apart from the title and text of the same chapter. Which means merging 2 files for every single chapter, which isn't bad if there's only 20 or so, but super annoying when you're hitting 50 or more chapters. It's tedious to fix, but that extra message that pops up ("Are you sure you want to merge the selected files? This action cannot be reversed.") makes it ...
