Calibre Lite will have a small subset of Calibre's feature set, basically just to display EPUBs, but all those few features will be accessible to the disabled. Sometimes it takes 10-30 min, sometimes a few hours, but it ends up happening eventually. This is the error log from Calibre itself:

Classical books have many words that are not currently used or are little known today, and every time I translate, the meanings of many complex words do not appear. I have logged into my Amazon account and went to the dictionaries part of the kindle and there is only one option for my language (Spanish). I have cracked it open and attached wires to the serial pads and an adapter all set up and I am able to see everything happening in serial via picocom on a Linux desktop and I can send keystrokes and all. I was following this guide and using this fastboot.

I had a dreadful shock today when I realised that the Kobo was telling me that all my recent downloads couldn't be opened because they were DRM'd. I went back to the Calibre advice page, updated Calibre, then updated my DRM removal. Everything now works.
I'm not a hi-tech person, and therefore I feel a tremendous sense of achievement.

When I open the epub in the calibre editor I find that in every case where the space is missing, the or is at the end of a line. But the space isn't missing every time the or is at the end of a line.
