Fox Tail Pencil Case

I'd always wanted a fox tail keychain ever since I joined cutout and keep but never could make a good fox tail, until now. I live with a roommate who makes furry suits and they gave me some "ruined"faux fur (it looks ok to me other then a few bend marks and stay strands). We were also trying to relax so we thought some sewing on New Years would do the trick and they taught me some tricks to sewing a fake fur tail. I then remembered a YouTube video on how to make a tail that's also a pencil case...

Bobbi cooked a corned beef brisket & cabbage, with some taters, onions, and carrots for New Year's Day feasting. We enjoyed the meal while watching the third episode of Season 5 of The Expanse. Other than that, it was a slow day around Roseholme Cottage. It was icy out when I woke up and stayed overcast all day, although it warmed into the forties in the afternoon and melted off the dusting of snow from yesterday. . [Author: Tam]

Unable to save .lnk files

In addition to using Calibre as my ebook library, I have also been using it to catalogue my audiobooks. I’ve done this by keeping my audiobooks in a separate folder and dragging a .lnk shortcut into the formats list on the basic metadata page of the ebook version of the audiobook. If I don’t have an ebook version, I create an empty book, fill in the metadata, and do the same. However, I have found that lately this no longer works. When I attempt to drag a .lnk file into the basic metadata pa...

Imprecise Dates

Does anyone have a solution for dealing with dates that are sometimes imprecise, in that sometimes you have a year, at others a year and a month and at others a year, month and a day.. I don't like having pretend dates as in 1985-01-01, I would rather have something like 1985-??-?? or 2014-05-?? BR

Literary Weaving Time in a Tapestry • January 2021

Here's to a great 2021; help select what we'll read and discuss next! The topic is Weaving Time in a Tapestry. This could be a book that is set in multiple time periods, or a book that jumps back and forth in time to tell a story in a non-linear way, or a book about time travel, or a book that has to do with weaving or sewing, or tapestries or blankets, or a book with a time element in its title such as seconds, minutes, days, years, millennia, etc., or a book otherwise about time in some fa...

Clarify tech specs: Screen on Onyx Boox Note Pro vs Onyx Boox Note 3.

Hi everyone, Looking to compare hardware of Onyx Boox Note Pro vs Onyx Boox Note 3. Obviously Note 3 is newer chip , faster UFS 2.1 storage, 5G wifi , OTG , fingerprint sensor. Can someone confirm the claim that screens are different, meaning: Note Pro: Glass front screen ( E Ink Mobius Carta screen ) Note 3: Plastic front screen ( Eink Mobius Flexible Screen with Flat Cover-Lens ) If so , is note pro screen in theory more fragile than note 3? I Just Want To Read

Hello everyone. I am interested in an Eink ereader. I have my iPad and iPhone and they do what they do. I want to just read without distractions. I am nit sure what I am looking for nor which ebook formats I need to support. It would be nice to not be locked in to an ecosystem or format, but I am open to ideas. My wife has a Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Unlimited. I would prefer a larger screen so I can enlarge the font. I am near sighted and need larger font. I want a lighted display in Eink. Y...

Time Running Out for Gun Owner Comments to Stop Financial ‘Deplatforming’

Powerful money interests are banking on disarmament. You can help thwart them. U.S.A. – -(Ammoland.com)- “Right now, the single most existential threat to free speech in America is the rise of financial deplatforming,” Revolver News observes. “If conservatives want to preserve the ability to think and speak freely in the decades to come, they must act to prevent the country’s most powerful financial institutions from imposing a brutal censorship regime on the entire country.” To demonstrate h...

Sharing books via email and sendmail

Just tried emailing a book on my MacOS (Mojave, 10.14.6) system. Cannot figure out how to do it without setting up either a GMX or an Outlook (Hotmail) account. I already have msmtp, which emulates the unix standard sendmail, set up to support mutt. Is there any way to do this?

The Great Big, Pink, and Weird World of Kirby Merch

Kirby Fighters 2 came out recently (see: 3+ months ago), and while it’s not my thing at all, it did remind me that there hasn’t been a memorable, mainline Kirby game since 2016's Planet Robobot for the Nintendo 3DS. And that got me thinking about how much Kirby shit I bought in 2020 despite not enjoying a single entry…Read more...

Need Template help

Hey there, I've been trying to figure this out for a while but haven't yet been able to. What I'm needing is a send-to-device template to sort a fiction and non-fiction library. Ideally, something like: if fiction: fiction/author_sort/title - authors if non-fiction: non-fiction/subject/title - authors I'm just using tags for this, where the first tag is fiction or non-fiction, and the second is used only for non-fiction, and that's the subject matter. So tags for a fiction book is just "fictio...

Coast Rechargeable Work Light – The Ultimate Base Camp Light! (Review)

The basecamp light from COAST is super handy, bright, and long-lasting. What more could you ask for? IMG COAST U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- Coast refers to this as a Rechargeable Focusing Work Light. We prefer to refer to it as an almost ideal base camp lantern. The advantage of this over others designed for camp use is its size and compact nature. It is small enough that one can drop it into a day pack, to provide an emergency light in case you get stuck after dark. Yet, it is powerful enough to i...

Firmware Update Suggetions

Not sure if this is a good place for posting a firmware suggestion, but here goes. Kindle is not left hand compatible. If it is in a cover, I cannot hold it with my left hand the way I like (gripping the Kindle with my thumb and index or ring fingers with is snugged between the folded over/back cover). Even if I remove the Kindle from the cover and flip it upside down so the flap is on the other side, the touch areas for page forward/back won't allow for left hand use. Could someone look into f...

Check Library does not allow adding extra titles

I have run a library check and it has found a few extra titles (files in the library that are not in the database). It appears the only option Calibre offers to correct the problem is to delete the files. I don't want to delete the files. I want to add them to the database. Is there any reason why the Check Library function does not allow me to add the extra files to the database?

Importing books into Calibre without adding margins

I'm trying to add an .azw book of manga to Calibre and convert it to a .zip file. Whenever I import a book it adds margins to all sides of every image. I can remove the margins when I convert from .azw3 to .zip, but because the margins were already added during the first conversion, the image quality is ruined. Is there a way to have the same conversion settings when importing a file as when I'm converting a file, so I can turn off the margins? I'm using Calibre 3.48 as that is the latest vers...

WaPo headline. From the article: Jeff Neslund, a Chicago-based civil rights attorney and a former prosecutor with the Cook County state’s attorney’s office, said the website “is dangerous for prosecutors” attempting to secure a conviction in the pending trial, because it has the potential to taint a jury pool. “You’re going to have a lot of people who want to be on this jury to help this kid because they have an agenda, so prosecutors will have a tougher time to do their homework to flush those ...

The Frankford Arsenal Pile Driver Bullet Puller Review

The Frankford Arsenal Pile Driver Bullet Puller. IMG Frankford Arsenal. U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- If you are a reloader, you are familiar with having to pull the bullets from loaded cartridges. There are a couple of reasons for that: To disassemble old ammunition enabling one to reuse the cases or to correct a mistake in loading (usually a case sizing or bullet seating problem). As such, you needed a bullet puller. Aside from the few press/die mounted pullers, most are of the impact, or inertial...
