Explosive Growth...

From Professor Yamane:"As it turns out, this was just the beginning of a gun-buying spree that spiked again in the summer, after the May 25 death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police officers and the sometimes-violent protests that followed. Although not as high as March’s record, gun sales in June again exceeded 2 million. Fueled by the ongoing pandemic, protests for racial justice and a contentious presidential election campaign, gun sales remained high through the end of 2020. Search: Find books with a top-level tag

Just curious: With a hierarchical column, is there a way to search for any books that contain the top level of an undefined value? Book 1: foo, foo.bar Book 2: foo.bar, test.123 Book 3: test Since book 1 and 3 both have top-level tags, I want the search to match those, but not book 2. I hope I explain this clear enough. :thanks:

Creaky Libra H2O?

Received a Kobo Libra H2O from Walmart today. It was "new" but I'm not sure if it was. It weirdly almost seemed repackaged? ANYWAY - this Libra H2O I received today creaks! If you push in the back, there is a ton of give and it makes an incredibly loud creak sound. Anyone else have that issue? It's disappointing, because this is the second Libra H2O that I've ordered. The first was a refurbished unit from Ebay that had a frontlight that didn't stay consistent - about every five seconds, it w...

Mattel Developing ‘Uno’ Movie with Rapper Lil Yachty Potentially Starring

The day isn’t over yet, but I can’t imagine there being a more Mad Libs-style headline to come out of the entertainment news world than this one. Mattel Films will team up with rapper Lil Yachty to produce an Uno movie based on the classic card game, with Yachty also “eyeing a starring role” in the film. And naturally, as anyone who has ever played Uno should clearly already know, the movie will be set in the underground hip-hop scene in Atlanta, Georgia. Of course. Makes total sense. Deadli...

Drag & Drop to the Tag browser can go awry

Unlike most browser drag & drop operations Calibre adds a 'Boundary Box' to the blue, colour highlight ( a rather pale colour at that ). On releasing the selected book(s), if either the top or bottom line of the rectangular box is missing this will cause one of two things to happen. With Tags, the drop simply doesn't happen. With a Hierarchical Tags, the drop will go to the parent Tag instead. For example; Subjects Archaeology Astronomy Astrobiolgy Ast...

Hello Worlds

Hello worlds, My Name is Geoff Tester, I'm an avid Linux User, and I enjoy making devices do things that they are not originally intended to do... For example:PSPs playing Gameboy Games Nintendo DS running full-blown Linux x11 Forwarding a Linux Application to a Windows Computer (that was fun) And so, after I found this post by user Schuhumi I felt I NEEDED to add a Kindle PaperWhite 3 running Alpine Linux to my collection of mildly useless things. Kobo Nia — $80

Looks like Kobo has finally priced the Kobo Nia at a price where it makes sense when compared to the Clara. Looks like it might just be a sale, though. First time I've seen it lower than $100. https://us.kobobooks.com/products/ko...31987720290374 https://www.walmart.com/ip/Kobo-Nia-...ight/824752304 "Comfort Light" for the Nia, just means a regular front light. Comfort Light Pro is Kobo-speak for "warm" lighting.
