Small Organized Spaces: Inexpensive Mini Laundry Room Makeover

Hey there y’all! Today I want to share a simple mini laundry room makeover I did recently. And by simple, I mean simple. No renovation, no painting, no drywall. Just some tidying up, decor and a bit of organization. With the exception of a few baskets, I shopped my house to find all the items to use. I’ve never given this area any sort of love at all. I mean it’s a laundry room and I really dislike doing laundry (although this laundry hack I use is life changing!). So I really don’t spend a huge...

TFB Review: Axeon Second Zero – Shift Your Zero

Have you wanted to stretch out the capabilities of your optics without holding over or adjusting elevation? Axeon Second Zero can extend your mean point-blank range with a simple flip of a lens. By doing so your optic’s zero shifts allowing you to engage targets further away than normal and you are still aiming center […] Read More … The post TFB Review: Axeon Second Zero – Shift Your Zero appeared first on The Firearm Blog.

"... or your Black postman to whom you give fruitcake every Christmas, or that Black comp and lit teacher who totally, like, rocked your world. It doesn’t matter if you are racist or not racist or antiracist; our society is racist." Writes Don Lemon, in his book "THIS IS THE FIRE/What I Say to My Friends About Racism," quoted in the NYT review of the book "Don Lemon’s New Book Hopes to Guide America Through a Conversation About Race." The review is by Wesley Lowery, who notes that you can tell L...

I need a beginner's guide to setup Joplin in koreader

Hi everyone! I have been using koreader for some years now and found it very useful for my academic work. I used to export all my highlights to evernote but since September 2020 this plugin is broken. I know there is a Joplin plugin right now but found the help section confusing and I could not configure it properly. I have been using Joplin on android and windows and even I could setup a Joplin server in my raspberry pi and connected from my cell phone and laptop. I would like to ask you for...

Friday Night Lights: Last Shadow – Helicopter Night Vision Shoot

Last week was the realization of a dream. This was all thanks to Last Shadow, a Temple, Texas based aviation company that primarily focuses on helicopter hog hunts. However, they are a full service company and entertained my desire to shoot a gun from a helicopter at night using night vision. It was one of […] Read More … The post Friday Night Lights: Last Shadow – Helicopter Night Vision Shoot appeared first on The Firearm Blog.

Make your Own Home Made Caps & Primers for your “Ghost Ammo”~ VIDEO

Editors Note: With all the made-up hysteria over the fake scare word “ghost guns” we figured we would set the bait and see what anti-gun hack started to use our next made-up word for unregistered “ghost ammo”. Who do you think will be the first ignorant clown to try and scare Karens with it? I am guessing they will have a (D) near their name. Image by Marshall Thompson, used with permission U.S.A. –-(AmmoLand.com)- For most of a year now commercial ammunition primers #ad have been almost im...

Nova Color 3 GOING BACK

Hi All -- Well, I got the Nova Color 3 delivered today. After two terrible hours I decided to see if Amazon would accept it as a return and they would and it's packed up again. The problem was not actually technical but one of user friendliness. Or, in this case, enmity. I picked up the thick Quick Start guide and that was my first clue. It basically did nothing at all but to show the unit's two buttons and the speaker and mic placement. In about 20+ languages. I finally did see how to download...

iPad It is time to play where the #$%@ did Apple hide those mouse settings

I purchased a Logitech Pebble M350 mouse for use with my iPad Air 2020. It is a fairly simple BT mouse with left and right buttons, a scrolling wheel for scrolling, and the scrolling wheel can be pressed as a third button. I wanted to set it up. The BT setup was straightforward and fast. Setting the mouse options, well not so much. I had to do a LOT of searching to find the available options, and I’m not certain I’ve found them all. BTW, the mouse works well with my iPad Air 2020 with one excep...

Add Semantics > Text

The Sigil User Guide tells me to "right-click on your first text file and select Add Semantics > Text to tell ereaders that this is where the book should open to". But there is no semantic property Text in the list that opens when I select Add Semantics (there are about thirty others, including Acknowledgments, Afterword, Annotation, Appendix, Assessment, and so forth). Also, none of the properties that I add to any of the file appears in the content.opf or anywhere else in the epub files. Whi...

The Scintillating Sophia Chandelier by Kalco Lighting

Stray away from straight with Kalco Lighting’s Sophia chandelier. This is a piece with personality. Featuring a series of scalloped stems that end in an ethereal nimbus of spherical shades, Sophia defies expectations as it seems to defy gravity. Its execution is modeled on a play of opposites: metal and linen, hard and soft, straight lines and jaunty, joyous undulations. Sophia is definitely an eclectic piece, “exuding a feminine energy with its simple, scalloped silho...

Fabric Projects from the Archives

Last month I hit the twelve year mark with this blog. I started this blog in February 2009 just for fun and to document a house remodel, and after two years I started making money with my content, so it became my career. I’ve been a DIY and design blogger longer than I ever practiced law. Over the years I’ve written editorial content for magazines, partnered with dozens of brands, remodeled a few houses, and written about all my design related favorite things. My blog anniversary went right by a...

Looking for suggestions for a new e-reader. Have an ancient pocketbook pro that kicked the bucket. -6.5"+ screen (prefer larger) -warm backlight (read in the dark often) -would like buttons -good handling of pdfs I use calibre. I do not purchase any e-books from amazon. Never plan on connecting it to the internet / using any sort of utility other than reading books.
