Google Play apps don't show up in Apps

HI all Just got my color Boox Note today, trying it out to see if I want to switch from my Kindle Oasis. I'll say it's not as good for pure book reading but I like the versatility of being able to put apps like Pocket and Shortform on it. I'm pretty disappointed with the color; it's bad on images. I still need to see how it does with color diagrams which is the primary reason I wanted it. Overall I am tending towards keeping it thus far, although I'll miss my page turn buttons. However, I have...

Upland author revises popular San Gabriel Mountains hiking guide

When David Harris hoofed the trails of almost every known hike within the vast San Gabriel Mountains, he was literally walking in the footsteps of a legend. The painstaking effort lasting from about 2017-2020 paid off when Harris’ update of the popular John W. Robinson book, “Trails of the Angeles: 100 Hikes in the San Gabriel Mountains,” was released in March by Wilderness Press as the 10th edition of what some call the hiking bible for Los Angeles-area mountains. The well-known “Trails of th...

Friday Night Lights: Long Range IR Illuminators – LN-ELIR-3 and SPIR

When shooting or observing with night vision at longer distances, you might need to add some supplementary illumination. The use case scenario (to understand my need better) is when doing research in the browser, or reading a book/doc and wanting to quickly switch to notes to jot down something and then again quickly switch to the browser/reader app. I have tried a various of apps...

Soil Test Analysis for the Backyard Veggie Garden

Annie Spiegelman author of “ Talking Dirt ,” “Growing Seasons,” and “Annie’s Garden Journal” is back again today to pick up the conversation on soil testing in the backyard garden right where we left off yesterday: With the home soil test, you’ll be testing your soil’s pH. Remington Ammunition, Under New Ownership, Launches New Website

The Remington name has been inextricably linked to the world of American firearms for most of our nation’s history. The gun was so well received that he immediately began manufacturing more barrels in […] Read More … The post Remington Ammunition, Under New Ownership, Launches New Website appeared first on The Firearm Blog.
