My DB "ISBN" file is corrupted and I would like to delete this data and then run the Extract ISBN Plugin to refresh the data. How do I delete the existing ISBN Data ? and should I? Am I correct saying that the "Identifiers" field shows all the publishers of a particular book and I should delete this field data as well before running the plugin? Perhaps I should just go back to reading my books!:D:D

TFB Review: XS Sights’ Remington 870 2rd Extension

XS Sights has branched out beyond weapon sights and is now offering a Remington 870 2rd extension. They offered up one for review so I volunteered as tribute. I was curious to see if the 870 2rd extension would work with some outlier variants of the 870 platform. Specifically, my Remington Model 870 Express Tactical […] Read More … The post TFB Review: XS Sights’ Remington 870 2rd Extension appeared first on The Firearm Blog.

Troubleshooting Paperwhite freezing

I got a Paperwhite for Christmas. Every day, the first time I use it, the touch screen does not respond to my stylus. I then "restart" it, and everything is fine for the rest of the day. It's a pain the neck, and a waste of five minutes every day, but the situation is not like the thing never works. Is this a common problem? Do you think I should exchange it for another? Thanks!

Biden’s Plan to Intact Gun Control and the Dangers of David Chipman

David Chipman is a gun-control extremist. IMG NRA-ILA U.S.A. –-(Ammoland.com)-With Joe Biden’s executive actions now public and the President nominating rabid anti-gunner David Chipman for the top job at the ATF, many gun owners wonder what is next. The targeting of unfinished firearms kits and pistol braces, along with an attempt to place Chipman in the ATF Director’s chair, hints at Giffords playing a significant role in the Biden administration’s gun policy. The former ATF agent was the Se...

Blake Bailey’s Philip Roth biography explores the novelist’s complicated relationships

In its 800 pages, Blake Bailey’s “Philip Roth: The Biography” provides a solid defense of the author as a literary giant in postwar America. The man won nearly every literary award except for the Nobel Prize in Literature. Bailey, who has previously written the biographies of other literary titans — John Cheever, Richard Yates, Charles Jackson — looks at Roth without providing the usual leeway the novelist gave himself in his fiction. Given that Bailey had Roth’s approval and unique access to hi...

Automatically keeping earliest date in a merge

Hi, It's been a while since I did any tinkering on Calibre. I'm trying to merge multiple older libraries with a lot of overlapping books. From what I've found, it seems like the order should be: 1. Start with the oldest library as the base library. 2. Setup the 'Add books' task as desired: make duplicate entries or not, ignoring copies, or copying the newest file, etc 3. Switch to the newer library. Copy books from the newer library to the base library using 'Copy to Library'. 4. Since the firs...

The Struggle Over Firearms Pistol Braces Continues ~ VIDEO
