How To Draw Faces (For Beginners)

The aim of this post is to educate those who would like to learn how to draw faces but either lack confidence or simply would not know where to start. The two simple methods that I will discuss are used by many successful realism artists. The methods have many benefits such as allowing you to gain confidence as well as being able to understand the anatomy of the human face. Paperwhite 3 Note App

I've been looking for a ePaper device for note taking because I like the screen technology better than a tablet and will have a much better battery life, as well as the finish I'm used to on a Kindle screen, before remembering I have a Paperwhite in the basement collecting dust. I remembered the active content stuff on an older Kindle of mine and was looking into developing something for my Paperwhite, before learning that the KDK is no longer supported and it seems the Paperwhite 3 never suppo...

Screen when sleeping

I hadn't updated the firmware on my Clara HD for several months, so I downloaded and applied the latest update. That was a mistake. Previously, when the reader went to sleep, I had a blank screen, which is what I wanted. Now, I get an advertisement for Walmart - definitely not good. It seems that my only choices are Walmart plastered on the screen, or the cover of my currently read book. Is there any way to get the blank screen back? If I have to downgrade the firmware, what was the last vers...

David Chipman is a gun-control extremist. IMG NRA-ILA WASHINGTON, D.C. –-(Ammoland.com)- Biden wants to replace a career anti-gun bureaucrat with an anti-gun zealot who has zero respect for the Second Amendment or the truth. Book Review: Policing the Open Road

The idea that cars = freedom is a pervasive American myth. The truth is that the rise of the automobile — and rampant illegal behaviors that have always accompanied it — helped give rise to an armed street security force that too often acts as judge, jury, and executioner. Sarah Seo’s book, Policing the Open Road (2019, Harvard University Press), is a cultural history of how we arrived at the system we have today, told through the lens of jurisprudence and law enforcement. It’s about how govern...
