Jets’ Leonard Williams was shopping for love at Fashion Week

New York Jets defensive end Leonard Williams is ready to recruit a lady love. “I’m single,” the 6-foot-five, 300-pound pro football player told The Post at the Christian Siriano show Saturday, as he looked out at dozens of potential draft picks. Who does Big Cat want to huddle with? “My dream girl has brown skin,...

We Need to Talk About How Ashley Graham’s NYFW Manicure Was Hundreds of Dollars

Ashley Graham walked onto the runway of this season's Christian Siriano fashion show with something special on her fingertips. Upon her nails, and those of models walking in the show, was a stripe of Essie Nail Polish in Licorice ($9) next to a stripe of sparkling crystals. "For all of the [nail] looks, we used roughly 110 grams of Swarovski crystals," said nail artist, Rita Remark. "That's roughly about $500 worth." See the high-shine nail look, ahead.

11 Honoré sells size-inclusive styles worn by Melissa McCarthy, Rebel Wilson

What do Melissa McCarthy’s flowing Reem Acra caftan, Laverne Cox’s sultry Haney gown and “Glow” star Britney Young’s sequined Christian Siriano cocktail dress have in common? Each piece was created exclusively for 11 Honoré, a high-end online retailer pioneering the first size-inclusive luxury shopping site for sizes 10 to 20 and up. And today, the...

Bebe Rexha: Designers Won’t Dress Me Because I’m A Size 8

For pop star Bebe Rexha, the Grammys should be one one of the most exciting nights of her life. Except, the "I'm A Mess" singer is having a hard time finding a dress to wear, thanks to the fashion industry's well-documented issue with sizeism (despite 67% of women being a size 12 or larger). On Sunday, she took to Twitter to express her frustrations.Im sorry, I had to get this off my chest. If you don’t like my fashion style or my music that’s one thing. But don’t say you can’t dress someone th...

Christian Siriano Intimate Silhouette

After the first Silhouette launched in 2014, inspired by a female silhouette and a women's long gown designed for all types of women, American fashion designer Christian Siriano enriched the collection with two additions. Silhouette In Bloom, conceived as a floral version of the original, and now Intimate Silhouette, which is a new gourmand featuring a dark purple color. *** About the fi... This Nail Polish Trend Is Going To Be Huge This Season

Seasonal nail trends are pretty predictable: soft watercolors for spring, candy-hued brights for summer, and moodier reds, blues, and grays for fall and winter. But then there's this kind of unique period around the holidays — basically starting now and running straight through New Year's Day — where chic and sophisticated goes out the window in favor of festive glitter and candy cane-inspired stripes.Thankfully, this year things will be different. In fact, the shade topping the Pinterest holid...

These Celebrities Absolutely Slayed At Halloween

As the age-old tabloid section says, "Stars: they're just like us." At the very least, celebrities are just like us in the sense that they also require oxygen to breathe, food to subsist on, and shelter to live in. Unlike many of us, however, some celebrities have near-limitless resources, which they use to fuel luxuries, fantasies, and skincare routines.Celebrities' ample time, money, and creativity are on full display around Halloween, when they upstage us all with elaborate and fantastical c...

28 Emmys Red Carpet Looks That Got Everything Right

Every awards show has moments that make us laugh, squeal, and even cry. From the SAGs to the VMAs, we've chuckled out loud and Tweeted faster than we even knew our fingers could type, all at the hand of our favorite celebrities. And still, despite an awards season that seems to be less of a season and more of a year-round thing, we have a special place in our hearts (and homes) for our television favorites. The men and women being honored at Monday's Emmys are those we welcome into our hearts —...

Over 70 Curve Models Walked At New York Fashion Week

It still seems like diversity is constantly out of reach for certain designers. Last February, The Fashion Spot found plus-size models made just 27 appearances on eight runways during New York Fashion Week. The number wasn't as high as the previous season, which saw over 200 curve and plus-size models walk. While Torrid and Addition Elle, two plus-specific brands, skewed the September 2017 results, labels like Christian Siriano and Chromat led the charge when it came to body diversity and inclu...

These Nail Trends From The Runway Are Extra In The Best Way

When we think about beauty trends straight off the runway, most people tend to focus on the hair and the makeup. (Who wouldn't take notice of a look that features glitter-coated eyebrows and structured ponytails with neon hair extensions?) Still, year after year, there's a tinier detail that gets overlooked: the nails. But finally, people are paying attention to the small things. As you've probably learned this year — thanks to countless fruity art and jelly press-ons — nail art is cool. In fac...

Christian Siriano finds Neiman Marcus and Saks ‘strange’

Ten years ago, Christian Siriano was casting his label’s first show at New York Fashion Week. But instead of going with the pale, willowy girls dominating catwalks at the time, Siriano — fresh off his win on the reality-TV competition “Project Runway” — stocked his debut with Victoria’s Secret bombshells and unknown models of color....

Christian Siriano Has Diversity All Figured Out

As designer Christian Siriano begins the first day of his spring 2019 model search alongside casting director Hollie Schliftman, girls are seen sitting in the carpeted stairwell of his new space at 5 West 54th Street in Manhattan — most, if not all, in a camisole and skinny jeans. This season, like every other, Siriano is looking for one thing: a really good walk.“Great! Can you do it one more time, but this time, a little faster?” he says to a girl named Spooner. Siriano feels the second tim...

Will Fashion's Body Diversity Movement Ever Go Global?

As much progress as there is still to be made in the name of body diversity within American fashion (and there's plenty), the runways of New York Fashion Week are no longer off-limits to plus-size models. Retailers are beginning to listen to their customers and expand their size offerings, and more brands entering the market for the first time, seizing an opportunity they'd ignored for far too long. Starting in earnest back in 2004 with Dove's Campaign for Real Beauty, mainstream fashion magazi...

Cardi B's Latest Hair Color Is Nothing She's Ever Tried Before

Everyone loves a good Cinderella story. Perhaps that's why Belcalis Almanzar, also known as Cardi B, has amassed over 11 million followers on Instagram and Twitter since 2015 — and the numbers keep boomin'. Some OG fans remember watching the college student-turned-grocer-turned-stripper's hilarious Instagram videos back in 2015, where she outlined her sexcapades, her plastic surgery procedures, and anything else you — or she — could imagine. Her audience grew by multitudes once she landed a spot...

The Billboard Music Awards Red Carpet Had Zero Chill

What's in a name? That which we call an award show by any other word would...be as out-there as the Billboard Music Awards? We mean: Every year, the BMAs red carpet seems to get weirder and weirder. Where we more or less know what to expect from the televised events that make up awards season, the BMAs are a melting pot of all of them — er, what's left over. Okay, we know this isn't the Met Gala, but with the best names in music in attendance, you never know what you're going to get. And tonigh...

Fashion People Are Proving the Term "Plus-Size" Is Far From Perfect

Merriam Webster tells me that the first-known use of “plus-size” was in the year 1942. For a term that’s (relatively speaking) contemporary, it’s hard to pin down a clear definition. “Extra large clothing” is what the dictionary authority offers, while clothing above a certain size is what shoppers have come to identify with it. As for that certain size? Well that varies, too. For retailers like ASOS, plus sizing begins at size 12. For Mango's Violeta line, it’s size 10. For Eloquii, it’s 14. We...

The $8 Press-On Nails That Fooled All My Friends

If I had to choose my favorite body part on myself, it'd be my hands. I know, I know... it's a little weird. But I take pride in how they're shaped like my late grandmother's, how long my natural nails grow, and how soft they still are despite having to hand-wash my dishes and carry heavy bags of groceries up and down the steps of my local subway station. ( Ahh, New York City living.) But, because of all that wear and tear, manicures are a pointless expense that I rarely indulge in. I haven't b...

What To Know About Louis Vuitton's New Artistic Director

On Monday, Louis Vuitton announced that Virgil Abloh, a designer with no formal training yet has the industry captivated by his street smarts ( er, streetwear), will be its new artistic director of menswear.
