Elsa Barahona ‘Enseñame’

Elsa Barahhona releases the track Enseñame. Think Ariana Grande, Ava Max and Bebe Rexha. The song blends EDM, pop, and r&b.  Produced by popular UK producer Kiz Keyz, the 17 year old delivers a solid vocal. Elsa says,‘Enseñame’ is firstly a story of love. Forged with urban dance sounds and a Spanish twist for the world to enjoy as one, we wanted infectious beats, danceable motion and a hypnotic dance track with a Latin fire burning beneath it.” Give it a stream.

Lizzo Really Is The Whole Damn Meal

"HAVE U EVER SEEN A BITCH PLAY FLUTE THEN HIT THE SHOOT?" It was a reasonable question. It was also a relevant question because it accompanied footage of the woman who posed it doing just that: first busting out an accomplished flute solo and then breaking into 2018's biggest viral dance craze with her backup … More »

Stagecoach 2019: Saturday headliner Sam Hunt talks crossover music, surprises and Snoop Dogg before mixing it up for the festival’s 13th year

For some, the number 13 is considered to be unlucky. However, for Stagecoach Country Music Festival talent buyer Stacy Vee and her hard-working crew, they’re looking forward to celebrating the lucky 13th year of this ginormous hoedown in the desert as the fest takes over the Empire Polo Club in Indio Friday, April 26-Sunday, April 28. After rearranging the sprawling grounds following Stagecoach’s big sister fest — Goldenvoice’s Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, held the previous two weeken...

Ariana Grande Honored Mac Miller With One Of Her Coachella Looks

Maybe you’ve heard but there’s a little music festival called Coachella currently underway in the California desert, and this year’s headliner is none other than Ariana Grande. She brought out all the stops for her first headlining set, including guest appearances from Nicki Minaj, P. Diddy, and *NSYNC (minus Justin Timberlake, womp womp). Ari was spotted hanging backstage with everyone’s favorite ‘90s boy band, wearing an item that may be a nod to her late ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller. As a Pittsbu...

Why Is Everyone Pitching In To Help Women In Country Music Except Radio?

Ahead of the ACM Awards Sunday night, the Annenberg Inclusion Initiative dropped a report on women in country music. We already knew they were being shut out on the radio (and we heard it from Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Kacey Musgraves — basically, the most influential women in the genre are pissed about the lack of play time they and their peers are seeing). Now, we're seeing the results of icing women out of country as the ACMs have no women up for their biggest award, Entertainer of t...

Billie Eilish’s Time Is Now

"I have taken out my Invisalign, and this is the album!" Billie Eilish announces at the outset of her debut album. The 17-year-old singer then collapses into hysterical laughter with a male cohort -- presumably her older brother, a fellow musician named Finneas O'Connell who's been her close collaborator ever since she made … More »

Zinn ‘Heartbreaker’

I really like Heartbreaker by Zinn. It’s dark, haunting, syncable and has a infectious chant. Citing Bebe Rexha, Halsey, and Jessie Reyez her latest single follows her debut track Rise Above. Zinn tells Kings, “Heartbreaker is about women not wanting to be the bad guy, but finding strength within herself to leave a very toxic relationship she thought she’d be in forever.” The Utah native will roll out more singles in the coming months and will release an EP. Check out her interview with Vents M...

The Art Of Marketing Music

For many listeners, music is far more than just sound, and acts as a strong emotional force. This makes music, and the inextricably linked if sometimes adversarial format of radio a uniquely powerful platform for marketing. Here Fred Jacobs looks at examples of music marketing from the beginning of the year which demonstrate the impact artists, and the radio stations that play them, have on consumers ___________________________________ Guest post by Fred Jacobs of Jacobs Media Strategie...

ZINN ‘Rise Above’

Look out for Monique who goes under the moniker of ZINN. She just released the track Rise Above. Citing Bebe Rexha, Halsey, and Jessie Reyez as influences her latest track is impressive considering it’s her debut track.  ZINN tells Kings that she will roll out three more tracks in the coming months before releasing the self titled EP. With the latest track ZINN also tells Kings, “I want people to rise above the differences. Understand the fact we are different people and have different opinions...

Alicia Keys Wore A $15 Drugstore Foundation To The Grammys

More often than not, no-makeup makeup is a misnomer. We've learned it actually takes an enormous amount of prep to give skin a glow that looks natural — like the way Alicia Keys' dewy cheekbones seemed to pulsate light from the Grammys stage last night. We felt vindicated by the realization that the famously "anti-makeup" star was, in fact, wearing makeup, but the real shocker wasn't that she was wearing foundation: It was that the full-coverage formula she chose is not rich-person fancy (like ...

The Grammys Red Carpet Was Full Of Surprises

Unless you've been living under a rock, you know that it's awards season — our mid-winter excuse to lounge around on a Sunday night, order takeout, and, if only for a few hours, live vicariously through the celebrities we stalk on Instagram. Thus far, we've witnessed the raucous glamour of the Golden Globes and the mellow vibes of the SAGs. But those were just the pregame compared to what's next: the Grammys. As the only music-focused trophy-fest of the season (musicians are unpredictable, man!)...

Grammys + IBM + Muzooka = New AI Powered GRAMMYconnect
