Suhr Guitar Talk :: No love for SSCII?

Author: rockridge98 Subject: No love for SSCII? Posted: Wed Apr 10, 2019 9:59 pm (GMT -7) Topic Replies: 0 I keep reading all these rave reviews for the SSCII system, but I recently got a Suhr Andy Wood with the woodshed pickups , and to my ears its only slightly quieter than my 1960s Fender Tele on high gain settings, and nowhere near as quiet as a guitar with humbuckers under the same conditions. Is there something wrong or did I have unrealistic expectations?

Suhr Effects Talk :: Mini Eclipse

Author: Biker Joe Subject: Mini Eclipse Posted: Wed Apr 10, 2019 11:57 am (GMT -7) Topic Replies: 0 Any chance of a Suhr mini eclipse pedal? Voiced like the current eclipse, 1 channel, and somehow with a 3 band eq? Not sure it's possible to fit it all in. But would love it to go along with the mini riot.

Tech Talk :: Strings feeling loose when tunes to pitch

Author: Jkaneshiro23 Subject: Strings feeling loose when tunes to pitch Posted: Fri Mar 29, 2019 8:02 pm (GMT -7) Topic Replies: 0 The strings on my Classic Pro are feeling looser than usual. It has new strings that have been stretched out and tuned to pitch. I had it setup by a luthier in Washington that does work for Pearl Jam. I trust him. With that said, are there any parts of the guitar that would make the strings feel so loose? Could this be a culprit of a neck that is too straight? Haven...

Suhr Amp Talk :: RE: Hedgehog Boost Question

Author: Biker Joe Posted: Mon Mar 25, 2019 1:10 pm (GMT -7) Topic Replies: 1 Was also wondering what folks would recommend to use with the hedgehog to get more of a tighter more Marshally (or PT100 Channel 2/SL68) sound? Thinking about the eclipse but pedal board space is kind of at a premium. Would a Suhr Riot mini work? Friedman BE pedal? Xotic BB? Carl Martin Plexitone? Those are what I'm thinking... And would you use it on a clean amp setting or with the overdrive? I currently us...

Suhr Amp Talk :: Hedgehog Boost Question

Author: Biker Joe Subject: Hedgehog Boost Question Posted: Sat Mar 23, 2019 9:54 am (GMT -7) Topic Replies: 0 Can anyone confirm how the boost light settings work? I have seen conflicting info. I think Green is medium boost and Orange is higher boost but I've seen people refer to it as the opposite. However, I think it would be strange that the order to select it would go none, high, med rather than none, med, high. Does this make sense? Anyway, the green sounds like a lower setting than t...

Author: CaptNasty Posted: Sun Mar 17, 2019 6:45 am (GMT -7) Topic Replies: 3 Action (string height) is not set by the truss rod. String height adjustments should be made at the bridge. The truss rod is used to adjust relief (the bow) in the neck, which can have effect on string height; but the truss rod is not meant to be the primary mechanism for action adjustment. Did you take measurements that indicated relief or action needed to be adjusted? You should get to the bottom of why the guit...

Author: Emesem Posted: Mon Feb 25, 2019 12:56 pm (GMT -7) Topic Replies: 1 Awesome. Nice playing. Gotta say I have a Classic Pro with the LPs and always thought something was missing. I think I prefer the V60 here. I just got a American Professional and V-mods sound similar. The Suhr, of course, is a better build, feels and plays better (and costs almost 2x as much) but it seems like it holds something back sound wise.
