What Paul Pogba said about Jose Mourinho after Cardiff 1 – Man United 5

Paul Pogba & Jose Mourinho Ever since Man United sacked Jose Mourinho, many have wondered what that decision will mean for Paul Pogba. Immediately after Man United announced the Mourinho news, Pogba posted an ill-timed social media update. The post, which was an advert for Adidas, appeared to be an obvious dig at Mourinho. Pogba deleted the post, however by that stage the damage was done. Pogba’s latest Instagram post after Mourinho was sacked… 🔥🔥🔥 “Caption this” pic.twitter.com/OMGIaUS7tr ...

G9 IBIS

It's past bedtime, but I just thought I'd put up one example of the G9's IBIS, which is the first thing I've been playing with— This is a wider view of the whole scene, taken at 32mm FOV equivalent. I tried to match the "subjective brightness" of the scene so you can sorta tell how dark it was. There's just one light on, over the sink at the other side of the room. So, pretty dark. This is not the same file—this is a small center crop of a shot at 64mm-e. Both of these were taken handheld, wit...

Entropy Counterattacks

Yesterday, briefly, the sun came out, if you can call it that. See it there, over the ridge? This was taken from my back yard, of the neighbor-to-the-south's side of the gully with the crick in it. Three years here and I've never met that neighbor. Keeps to himself, I guess. We had a brief period on Friday of our kaleidoscope skies...pictures coalesce and dissolve virtually second-by-second. Those are the two giant sycamores on the right. I really believe they're 30 meters tall. Then it got o...

How we made a landscape photo with fog machine and won an award for it

I needed a landscape photo of a foggy forest on sunny day, where beams of sunlight were streaming through the trees and creating beautiful sun rays.  The only problem was that it was summer and there was no fog to be had. Earthrise: the story behind our planet's most famous photo

When Bill Anders took this photograph from the Apollo spacecraft on Christmas Eve in 1968, our relationship with the world changed foreverThis photograph is now half a century old. God’s Beauty on the Trail

This summer, I started walking my dog. To be clear, we’ve always walked her. But this summer, I started taking her on daily, 1+ mile hikes that made me breathe heavy and helped me close the exercise ring on my Apple watch (anyone else compete with themselves to close those darn rings??). We’ve walked one trail in particular in heat and scorching sun, we’ve walked it in cold drizzly rain, and now we’ve begun walking it as it’s covered in snow. My nine-year-old golden retriever much prefers the co...
