Rita Wilson’s Golden Globes Glam Squad Was Nowhere To Be Found, and the Internet Was Rapt

Rita Wilson caused quite a stir on Sunday afternoon ahead of the 77th Annual Golden Globes, as she reported that her hair and makeup stylist was quite late just a few hours before the event. In a tweet, the actor said that her “hair and makeup person” was “one hour and twenty minutes late.” In a second tweet, she said she was “trying to be zen” about it all. But in a third tweet, she said that though the stylist was booked in September, they were still — you guessed it — not there. ...

Sunday Support Group: It Is Hereby Resolved...

Well, 2020 is off to a notably disastrous start, what with Australia aflame and now Trump's militaristic misadventures. What a way to launch a decade. Maybe I'll join those who insist that 2020 is the last year of the twenty-teens, rather than the first year of the '20s, so we can try this over again in 2021. Opening the restaurant at the relatively sprightly young age of thirty-eight, she has been working behind the counter ever since. For fifty years to be exact, doing two shifts a day, six days a week, with no thoughts of retiring just yet.

2019 Writing Update & 2020 Plans

2019 has been the biggest year of my writing career to date, with a lot of learning, a lot of rewriting, some new launches and no small measure of success. Primarily three projects defined the year: 1. Mr. Ruin rewrite, rebrand, relaunch I had pretty high hopes for the rebrand of Mr. Ruin as Soul Jacker. I put a lot of time, money and effort into getting various edits, rewriting the books, getting new covers, attaining high-profile blurbs and setting up a lot of promotion in early 2019, only to ...

The Original Hells Angels: Amazing Photographs Capture Daily Life Of A Notorious Biker Gang In California In The 1960s

Hells Angels, California, 1965. America loves its outlaws, but few of us actually dare to live the lifestyle. In 1965, the Hells Angels were little known outside the American West. LIFE photographer Bill Ray spent several weeks in Southern California, photographing and traveling with the San Bernardino chapter of a gang that would soon become notorious for its hedonistic, lawless swagger.
