A Mix

Once again, a mix of photos from around my neighborhood. If I cross a bridge I get to the upscale area of Paris called Passy. Two of these figures were above a door. There’s lots of beautiful architecture there, like this door outlined with mosaic tile work. A pretty little flower shop. Doesn’t this bread look yummy? My local Monoprix often does very lovely displays, like these grapes and the mushrooms in the background-where that lady was also taking photos. ...

Apple’s iPhone 12 Pro camera upgrades sharpen focus on serious photographers

Apple’s iPhone 12 Pro heaps improvements on the already-formidable power of its camera system, adding features that will be prized by “serious” photographers — that is to say, the type who like to really mess around with their shots after the fact. An anonymous reader shares a report: I'm fairly sure cars were supposed to be flying by now, but instead we've managed something else that would have felt like science fiction a decade ago: playing Xbox games on your fridge. That's right, someone has managed to get Microsoft's xCloud service running on a Samsung smart fridge. Facebook will now remove posts that deny or distort the Holocaust

Facebook has updated its hate speech policy to “prohibit any content that denies or distorts the Holocaust”. Why is this surprising?
