Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Hydrating Longwear Foundation Review Video

This foundation got panned after it was launched because people really liked the matte version.  I didn’t mind it, but the colour I got was too light and this was too much coverage for me. You... Visit to read the rest of this article.

I was out in the Bastille area and came upon a street that was new to me which is always fun. The opening to Rue de Lappe. It was full of colorful shops, mostly restaurants and bars and I’m sure it is heavily visited when there isn’t a quarantine going on but it was still full of people on this sunny Saturday. Now an Asian food place but as you can see by this sign, once a Aurillat restaurant. I bet this was a fun bar. A florist of course.

Tokyo serenity on a Sunday morning

There’s a lot to like about Tokyo, but as far as descriptions of the city go, laid back generally isn’t one of them. And yet that said, Sunday mornings surely don’t get much more serene than this.

I finally made it out to see the sunrise once again.

Had not made it out since February 2. Just too cold! And I only need it to be feels-like 9° to be willing to do it. I've done these sunrise runs since September 2019, and — not counting when we were out of town — I'd only ever missed an occasional day, maybe 2 days once or twice. I think I've missed more days this February than in all the other time combined. Ah, well! I was happy to get out.  [Author: [email protected] (Ann Althouse)]

Comment on marbled cheesecake hamantaschen by Barbara

In reply to deb. Thank you for your newest update! I noticed on Jake Cohen’s Instagram (where he referenced your tik tok and recipe) that his ingredient list is slightly different. He uses 2 sticks of butter, 2/3 cup granulated sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp kosher salt, 2 3/4 cups flour divided, and 1/4 cup cocoa powder. Would any of these differences account for some dryness or cracking? I’m dying to try these hamantaschen but waiting to hear your thoughts. Also, there’s another way to close hama...

United in Condemnation & Tonic: A Letter to the Midwest

21 February 2020 Lovettsville, VA Dear Scott, It is Sunday morning, everyone is fed, and there is still six inches of crusty, icy snow upon the ground. The will to put my boots back on and be upthrusting and productive outside dwindles with each contented sigh of little Mungo here at my feet.  It is a good time to answer your letter. I had thought of answering it last Sunday, regardless of the momentous date, but couldn’t trust you to leave the easy joke alone. It appears we are finally in agre...

In reply to deb. Thanks, Deb, and I feel terrible that you feel terrible. The Instagram story says “not available”, by the way. I love the flavor of my opened up hamentaschen, and I Will make it them again, but I’ll pinch them closed more, chill them before baking, and I’m sure they’ll look better the next time. I think yours are so pretty, I made them the day after you posted.

Hot from the oven at 5 a.m.

Meade made bread... for the second day in a row. He even milled the grains and seeds — wheat, oats, teff, sunflower seeds, flax seeds, sesame seeds. Teff?! I had never heard of it. Eragrostis tef, also known as teff, Williams lovegrass or annual bunch grass, is an annual grass, a species of lovegrass native to the Horn of Africa, notably to modern-day Ethiopia. It is cultivated for its edible seeds, also known as teff.... The name teff is thought to originate from the Amharic word teffa, whic...

Why is your ex or their new partner ‘so happy’ on Instagram when they mistreated you?

Pre-internet and social media, to know what your ex or their current partner was up to, you had to become a stalker. You had to be prepared to nose around extensively in their lives, and this was a signpost for recognising obsession. The idea of following someone or making a nuisance out of yourself put a boundary in place. It either forced you to start grieving or left you relying on your imagination. And the latter in and of itself often became a signpost to start grieving too. Of course, ...
