David Dubinsky recently found an unusual flyer in the mailbox of his Hollywood Hills home. It came from the indie rock band Emperors Night, but it didn’t advertise any sort of upcoming concert. Instead, it offered a free car wash in exchange for a follow on the band’s Instagram account. A few days after the entertainment lawyer messaged the band and determined they were legit, 32-year-old Anand, 31-year-old Bud and 28-year-old Dhyan Chalmers, the New Zealand-born brothers who make up the indie p...

Chargers back coach Anthony Lynn before facing Raiders

INGLEWOOD — Raiders coach Jon Gruden imagined what could have been Sunday if SoFi Stadium welcomed fans for the inaugural Las Vegas vs. Los Angeles game. Chargers fans could have bragged about quarterback Justin Herbert while Raiders fans claimed Los Angeles as part of their “Raider Nation.” “We can’t wait to see your stadium,” Gruden told Chargers reporters this week. “I would like to share it with your fans and our fans. That’s been the real disappointment. We play in front of Bob Stiriti. He’...

“Copyright Troll” Lawyer Gets Sanctioned (Again)–Sands v. Bauer Media

Attorney Richard Liebowitz has filed more than 1,100 lawsuits since the beginning of 2016, a campaign this judge calls a “downpour.” This initiative has not gone smoothly. The court recaps: Mr. Liebowitz has been sanctioned, reprimanded, and advised to “clean up [his] act” by other judges of this Court. As Judge Furman recently observed, “there is a growing body of law in this District devoted to the question of whether and when to impose sanctions on Mr. Liebowitz.” This particular lawsuit invo...

Isa Muhammad – ‘Diabolical Bastard Billionaire Genius’ (Mixtape)

We’ve been fans of Isa Muhammad since Day 1 – before we even knew his name.  We first spotted him freestyling for Rick Ross over the summer, then watched him get signed to MMG a few weeks later, and now are bumping his first-ever mixtape Diabolical Bastard Billionaire Genius. And it is a monster! Diabolical Bastard is a whirlwind of soulful beats and Isa’s hungry, hyper-lyrical vocals.  You don’t often see “viral sensations” follow up their 15 minutes of fame with much substance, but Isa’s MMG d...
