Trump hits the golf course as US kicks off summer season

With lockdowns easing across the country and the US leader ramping up his travels, Trump also confirmed he would attend a space launch in Florida next week. As the US marked Memorial Day weekend -- the country's unofficial start of summer -- Trump took a 35-minute drive from the White House to the Trump National club in Sterling, Virginia, in his first visit to a golf property since March 8.

Sessions, running for Senate, rejects Trump's criticism

Jeff Sessions pushed back at President Donald Trump’s criticism Saturday, telling Trump that he was “damn fortunate” Sessions recused himself from the Russia investigation. Sessions responded pointedly on Twitter after Trump called Sessions untrustworthy and reiterated his endorsement of Sessions' Republican primary rival for U.S. Senate, former Auburn University football coach Tommy Tuberville. Sessions added, “your personal feelings don’t dictate who Alabama picks as their senator.”

Trump seen doing same thing he criticized Obama for during Ebola crisis

As coronavirus cases in the US continue to rise, President Donald Trump was seen golfing at the Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia. This is the first time he has been seen on a golf course since the pandemic began.
