Vancouver out as NHL mulls hub cities for restart

Vancouver is out of the running to host NHL games when the league returns from its coronavirus shutdown, the club said Thursday. The announcement means the pool of potential cities to be designated one of two "hub" sites when play resumes in late July or early August has shrunk to five with Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, Edmonton and Toronto still in the hunt. "Although Vancouver won't be a hub city, we are still excited to see hockey start up again," the team said in a statement.

Is California’s economy headed up or down?

The 2020-21 state budget agreement, announced this week by Gov. Gavin Newsom and legislative leaders, assumes that California’s economy will perform a bit better than previously assumed — enough better to add another billion dollars to the revenue side of the ledger. We don’t know whether that’s a realistic adjustment or simply a number that was conjured up because the politicians needed another billion bucks on paper. In fact, no one really knows where the economy is headed as the worst recessi...

Hard racket contradiction with FX rubber

Hi Alois, I'm using a Butterfly Garidia ALC which is one of the faster and harder Butterfly blades. I play aggressively and close to the table. Is the combination with a Tenergy FX rubber a contradiction ie the ball leaves the blade fast while the FX rubber tends to absorb the ball. Is the non FX version a better match with a hard blade? thanks in advance Johan
