How can I improve my concentration and sustain it

Hii, I am improving my techniques, looking at the bat of my adversary when he plays, analyzing a little the angle, the spin, how to play back... But when my adversary plays fast, I don't have time to concentrate on all that and play a little randomly and without thinking. How can I improve my concentration and sustain it please? Much Thanks, Dan.

Shohei Ohtani pitches in Angels’ intrasquad game, looks rusty

ANAHEIM – The old normal was the new normal at Angel Stadium for an afternoon. Shohei Ohtani threw three innings in the Angels’ first intrasquad game of summer camp. The stands were empty, save a section in left field full of printed-out fan headshots. The public-address system played music on a continuous loop. The home plate umpire was Tim Buss, the Angels’ quality assurance coach. Only the players and uniforms looked as they normally do, but such is baseball at the moment. For the Angels, see...

How wars in Iraq and Afghanistan contributed to today’s deteriorating civil-military relations

The killing of George Floyd at the hands of police exposed many Americans to an unsavory side of law enforcement. News coverage of demonstrations increased concerns about the actions of police, federal officers and the National Guard, with footage of riot police in Buffalo shoving an elderly man and casually walking past him as he bled on the sidewalk shocked millions of viewers. These and other incidents have led to widespread recognition of the need for police reform. Of particular focus is th...

Yanks' Cole learns safety-protocol lesson in 1st intrasquad

Gerrit Cole couldn't have expected the New York Yankees to take the ball away from him just one batter into his first home start in the Bronx. Cole allowed a home run to the second hitter he faced, Miguel Andujar, one pitch after being forced to give up the ball he used to strike out leadoff man Mike Tauchman. ''I liked that ball,'' Cole grumbled on the mound.

Fireworks displays endure despite overreaching LA County edict

Los Angeles County’s ban on fireworks displays during the July Fourth holiday weekend was widely ignored. Is that a good thing, or a bad thing? No doubt the L.A. County Department of Public Health, which issued the joyless order on June 29, regards it as bad. No authority appreciates insubordination. So the county was particularly vehement in its nasty treatment of the city of Lancaster, where Mayor R. Rex Parris made the decision to go ahead with the city’s fireworks show. Parris said the city ...

Juventus lets 2-goal lead slip in 4-2 loss at Milan

Juventus missed the chance to take a big step toward a ninth successive Serie A title as it let a two-goal lead slip away in a surprising 4-2 loss at AC Milan on Tuesday. After second-place Lazio lost 2-1 at relegation-threatened Lecce earlier, Juventus could have extended its lead at the top of the table to 10 points with a win. No need to dwell on that as we have another match in a few days,'' Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri said.
