Amazon Calibre issue?

I have been unsuccessful in loading the last two books I purchased from Amazon to my Calibre library. They are grayed out. Did something change in the file format for kindle books. The books are “A Furious Sky” and “Hoax”. Note I also purchased a couple of older NFL books that presented no issue. Both of the problem books are new releases. I am bummed as I am ready to load them on my Kobo Forma. Thanks, Joe

Dodgers’ Will Smith: ‘I feel like it’s been five years’ since his 2019 debut

Will Smith made his major league debut May 28, 2019. By August, he was the Dodgers’ everyday catcher. Not until more recently could he put his learning curve into perspective. “A little over a year ago I got called up,” Smith said on a call with reporters Tuesday, “and I feel like it’s been five years.” After batting .253 with 15 home runs in 54 games, Smith struggled at the plate in his first postseason. It carried over to 2020, despite the ample downtime induced by the novel coronavirus. Smith...

Coroner attributes Inland woman’s death to Las Vegas mass shooting

LAS VEGAS — The death of a California woman last November stemmed from wounds she received in the Las Vegas mass shooting in 2017, a coroner has determined. At a Sylmar teacher’s maternity room, school is in session

A room at the maternity ward at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills is full of the sound of third-graders’ voices. They’re echoing from the speakers in Janet Udomratsak’s laptop. “I’m not finished yet,” says a forlorn but honest voice, clearly in the middle of deep thought on the issue of “3 x 4.” Rows. Arrays. Columns. Answer… Computing….. Computing… and the chats start coming in. A collective answer. A collective “12.” And with that, a small victory for Udomratsak. “Good job!...
