3 Ways to Collect Quality Contacts Base for Blogger Outreach

You published five posts in February, zero in March, three in April. Does it sound like a proper guest blogging strategy? Well, clearly it doesn’t. The main idea of guest blogging is consistency and regularity. Since there are so many other bloggers and services, you risk being forgotten too soon because of such gaps. If you want to start doing real content marketing, you’ll have to plan up to 10 publications per month. And here is where the biggest problem appears: the lack of quality platf...

Why Small Businesses Need to Ditch SEO Gimmicks for Good

If you take a look at the New Year’s resolutions you made for 2019, they’ll likely contain some financial ones, ones where you plan to have a more profitable year. And, if you are a business owner or work in marketing, consider adding this resolution to your list: “I’m ditching SEO gimmicks for good.” When SEO was new, companies could toss up a piece of content that included word-for-word keywords and reap the benefits. As Google’s algorithm evolved and competitors began their own SEO efforts, c...

Weekend reading: British passport no longer rules the waivers

What caught my eye this week. G ot your passport ready and your bag packed for the last flight out of Heathrow when Britain goes all 21 Days Later on Brexit Day? The good news is even I don’t think that’s going to happen. We’ll be more in for months of Dad’s Army amateurism should we leave with no-deal on the 29th March. But the reviled metropolitan elites will immediately put their brains towards sorting out the mess foisted upon them, and anarchy will be avoided.1 The bad news is Britain has...

Google Doodle, Bluegrass Style

Today’s Google Doodle honors legendary banjo player and stylist Earl Scruggs. Here’s a short essay I posted when Earl Scruggs died. It contains a re-post of an earlier post (15 years ago) about the chance my son had to meet and chat with Scruggs. (My son was 14 at the time — and a fiddle and mandolin player.) I appreciate Google recalling this great artist.   Related posts: Remembering Earl Scruggs My once-a-year bluegrass post: Steve Martin’s Rare Bird Alert Legend sighting

The Payments Company Formerly Known As Mastercard

It was fun to watch the launch of the new Mastercard logo. The logo evolution itself is interesting, though I was especially interested in the framing of the announcement. Understanding the Difference Between a Sales Lead and Prospect

Sales teams are the lifeblood of any organization. Whether large or small, businesses rely on sales. It’s the golden age of traditional retail, not its end days

A lot of people that will say that traditional retail is dying. But the reality is that, thanks to technology, the future of traditional retail has never been brighter. Today, brick-and-mortar retailers not only have unprecedented insight as to what is happening in their stores – fr...

How to Use Email Marketing to Boost Seo in 2019

You might be wondering… what is email marketing in SEO? What is the relationship between email marketing and search engine optimization (SEO)? Email marketing has no direct impact on SEO because emails are not indexed or ranked by Google. And because emails are used typically to increase open rates and click-through-rates (CTR), some marketers believe that email marketing has no link to SEO. But they’re wrong because email marketing is a great resource tool you can use to improve y...

Why the democratisation of data is crucial

Campaign recently published this article by our Chief Strategy Officer, Mobbie Nazir looking at the issues surrounding the democratisation of data and how this will affect advertisers. As 2018 drew to a close, the issue of Facebook’s treatment of customer data and its approach to controlling access to this information just wouldn’t go away. The social media giant was once again creating headlines for the wrong reasons – this time after targe...
