My own experience has shown me that the heroes of any movement are people whose names are known only to those around them. The people who are the labour movement on its most granular level. The real labour behind the mo...

On Anime: Summer 2020 Season

I never got around to posting about what shows I checked out during this latest TV season, but I did do a Twitter thread about it, that I figure I’ll adapt as a post here. Japan Sinks 2020 Japan Sinks 2020 is one of those new Netflix series, and having watched it all I can say that...

All you need to know: Why is Australia fighting against Google and Facebook on behalf of news publishers

Both Google and Facebook have, unsurprisingly, reacted...

Here’s the story of this high speed train and my experience taking it. Sitting here in this comfortable high-speed train watching the Xinjiang countryside whiz by forces me to remember the first time I stepped foot in this incredible region. Testing Async systems with Karate Testing Framework

I have love and hate relationship with asynchronous systems. I love them because the flow is natural and doesn't waste time and resources. I hate them because it's difficult to test and debug. The most common asynchronous system that you would have used is Webhook type. Where you get a callback from an external system when something happens and then you will handle it. That is straight forward. Because you just need to test your part. Recently I have been working on a system that accepts...
