Two strongly negative views about the covid “vaccines” (one of them claims these are not vaccines at all)

These two views are from medical practitioners who know what they’re talking about. I’m making note here and request anyone with knowledge to refute them – it will be practically impossible given my limitations of time to investigate these claims. a) Open Letter to the Swedish Prime Minister and Swedish Public Health Director by Dr. […]

You Can Now Stalk Yourself With Google Maps' 2020 Timeline Update

It’s no secret that Google, as well as other big tech companies, know a lot about you. Probably a lot more than you think they do. And while in general that’s really creepy, sometimes it can briefly produce cool results, before going back to being creepy. Case in point: You can start off the year by stalking yourself…Read more...

A comparison of WhatsApp, Telegram and Signal – sent to me by someone

I’m noting this PDF document for my future, easy reference. I initially thought that Signal won’t transfer data across devices (which is essential for the way I operate – half on my mobile and half on the PC) – but that’s not true. Signal’s default is to allow that (i.e. to use the cloud). If […]

A dated Tokyo laundrette and its old-style scissor gates

Over the last few years, there has been a shift in Tokyo towards laundrettes that are nice places to while away a bit of time rather than somewhere to simply do some washing. Many now incorporate cafes, come with free wifi, and even have comfy sofas as well as more conventional seating areas. The one below, however, remains resolutely old school, with no concessions to the current times, let alone current trends.

BEST Custard Tart With Nutmeg

Chasing the Sunset

I love being out when the sun is setting and always hope I am in a good place for a photo. Near the bridge leading to the Eiffel tower. Further back. Not the best shot but it’s hard to beat the Eiffel Tower in a photo. The bridge is covered with the dreadful “love locks” as you can see. And after the sun set from our apartment.

in2021, I will...

Hello hello!  Time for the annual post. Where I look back at the year gone by and the year ahead. This has been an annual ritual for a few years. To be honest, I may or may not follow it (the excitement of the new year wanes off after a few weeks days) but I always come back to the yearly post when I am down in the dumps and I don't know what to do with my life. In 2020, I had to do that a lot. So I have seen the utility.  So, without further ado, let's get to it. I will divide this into sect...

Bird watching

Now that the weather's turned cold, I put the feeders out so that the little birds in our neighborhood will stop by for a meal. One of the feeders hangs from the deck railing just outside the sliding glass door in the living room. We get a good look at the blue tits, robins (the small European variety), and finches that visit throughout the day. Tasha and Bert like to watch. The dog is entertained, the cat is thinking about lunch. We have three feeders. One seed dispenser hangs from one of the...
