A Flower a Day

In 2020 I started to post a flower a day on my FB as a way to share faith, hope, love, and thanks. As a way to dilute the negativity that was around us. so far I have posted a flower photo each day for 1 year and 229 days. Why flowers and not brocante is because I started posting flowers when I was stuck in California due to covid. I am beginning to challenge myself with a new theme for 2022.  Flowers are easy as they are everywhere, inviting and happy. Any ideas? I don't know if I coul...

Old school Japanese restaurants documented over the years

On the whole, I’ve always found bars more interesting to shoot in than restaurants. In most cases it tends to be quite a bit easier too. There’s the atmosphere for starters, plus the simple act of spending longer in a place makes it possible to feel fully at home. Being a very visible foreigner, and a far from common type of customer, it gives everyone else the chance to get similarly comfortable as well, meaning there’s generally little or no concern when the camera does eventually come out. Sense of Arrival Back at the Forefront | By Larry Mogelonsky

A key word to keep in mind in this post-coronavirus era of travel is ‘friction’. While vaccine statuses will soon become ubiquitously digitized via uploads to a mobile wallet or shared amongst governmental databases referenced at each passport swipe, it’s the COVID-19 tests that present far greater an obstacle, in turn broadly impeding the hotel industry from reattaining 2019 occupancy figures.
