The Return of Sweet Week: Tapisserie Patisserie

Every February from 2009 to 2012, I wrote a series called Sweet Week, where I would visit a different patisserie or chocolate shop every other day for a week.   I discontinued the series because I became pre-diabetic at the time, and I am   now fully diabetic, taking insulin daily. I’ve stayed close to home in recent weeks and rediscovered the architectural wonders of the Marais. I recently had to do a slide show and lecture about the Marais for an organization, so I took new photos of familiar buildings, casting my eye again but in a refreshed way.
