Google, Apple remove majority of the banned Chinese apps, some still up on their app stores

Days after the Indian government  decided to ban 59 apps developed by Chinese companies, a majority of them have now been taken down from Apple and Google’s respective stores. A total of 54 apps were taken down from the Google Play Store, while  including Shareit, Kwai, and Club Factory. India’s app ban decision ‘suspects’ of violating WTO rules: Chinese Embassy

Bytedance to shutdown Vigo apps in India by October, allow users to transfer to TikTok

Chinese internet company Bytedance announced that it will shut down its short video apps Vigo Video and Vigo Lite in India by October this year.
