Two brand mistakes that are frustrating photographers

Today I want to share two mistakes that I know are frustrating me, and could likely be frustrating you. My hope is that these companies notice some commentary here on Photofocus and respond to your frustrations. Nikon First up is Nikon, but before I dive in, know that I am a Nikon photographer. Adobe brings its Premiere Rush video editing app to Android

Adobe launched Premiere Rush, its newest all-in-one video editing tool that is essentially a pared-down version of its flagship Premiere Pro and Audition tools for professional video editors, in late 2018. At the time, it was only available on iOS, macOS and Windows. Now, however, it is also finally bringing it to Android. There is a caveat here, though: it’ll only run on relatively new phones, including the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S10 series, Google’s Pixel 2 and 3 phones and the OnePlus 6T. ...

Jason Woolsey of Adobe Commerce Cloud: Making Mobile Shopping More Seamless is a $9 Billion Opportunity

I’m smack dab in the middle of seven weeks of seven industry conferences. And yes I’m still in Las Vegas.  But this week I got the opportunity to check out Magento Imagine . This event serves as the eCommerce platform’s annual user conference.  This year’s Imagine marked the eighth time Magento held the conference. But this year marked the first time since the company was acquired by Adobe. And it has become the commerce engine of Adobe’s Experience Cloud. At the conference I had the oppor...

Lightroom Update brings new “Texture” slider, in-app education and batch processing for Android

Every few years, Adobe adds something new and interesting to their raw file engine. We saw it when they added the Clarity slider, when we lost “Fill Light” and “Recovery” in favour of shadows, highlights and white levels. And we saw it fairly recently when they introduced Dehaze. Now, they’ve added a new “Texture” slider, […] The post Lightroom Update brings new “Texture” slider, in-app education and batch processing for Android appeared first on DIY Photography.

May 2019 Update for Lightroom Classic, Lightroom, and Adobe Camera Raw

Today, Adobe has released an update for the Lightroom and Adobe Camera Raw family of applications. Before getting into the new features that have been added, it is important to note that Adobe has dropped the “CC” from the names of Lightroom Classic CC and Lightroom CC. This is because all versions of Lightroom are now only available via a Creative Cloud subscription, so there is no need to differentiate the CC version from the perpetual license version. One could make the case that having the “...

Adobe Renames Lightroom Again

Adobe has done it again. Adobe renamed Lightroom Again. First Adobe renamed Lightroom to Lightroom Classic CC. Then they released a “light” version of Lightroom and called it Lightroom CC (instead of Lightroom Elements). Now, almost two years later, Adobe is renaming Lightroom Classic CC to Lightroom Classic. Turns out, since recording this rant/video, Adobe also decided to change the name of Lightroom CC to just Lightroom. Which makes a complete 360, since the original name of Lightroom Clas...
