Knott’s Bear-y Tales pays tribute to original 1970s ride with a modern digital attraction

The new version of the Knott’s Bear-y Tales ride closely follows the story line of the original 1975 attraction created by Disney Legend Rolly Crump that fans have been asking Knott’s Berry Farm to bring back to the park for decades. “It’s a return to the original,” Knott’s producer Eric Nix said during a media preview for the ride. “That was the idea of this version of Bear-y Tales. Let’s not reinvent the wheel. People have such a fond memory of the original attraction.” The new Knott’s Bear-y ...

A Love List: Pushing Myself Too Hard, Super Hyaluronic Acid, The Little Mermaid, and Chocolate Covered Gummy Bears

Good Morning dear friends! Is your week going well? Have you been busy? Are you ready for the weekend? Have you been drinking enough water? I’ve had a very busy week! I think I went through about sixty zoom calls this week and a million zoom meetings. My head is about to explode. I always know I’m getting tired when I start replying to comments and I’m missing words. I fail to catch myself until much later and I’m positive the person I’m replying to is thinking, “WTH did she say?” Ok, so...

Comment on raspberry swirl cheesecake by Ariel

Made it for Easter. Used a bag of frozen mixed berries instead of raspberries since that’s what I had, made my crust with lemon Oreos. Also no water bath, because i have 3 kids under 3 and i didn’t feel like making it anymore complicated and I worked in a professional bakery and we never put our cheesecakes in a water bath … it had a tiny bit of cracking and sinking but nothing terrible and the family was very satisfied.

How will Disney California Adventure change over the next 20 years?

Disney California Adventure is almost unrecognizable after 20 years of growth and evolution following an inauspicious start, but there’s still plenty of opportunity for Disneyland’s underappreciated and underestimated next door neighbor to change over the next 20 years. As DCA celebrates its 20th anniversary, I thought it would be a good time to take a wildly speculative look at what Disney’s second Anaheim theme park might look like two decades from now. What will still be around when DCA reach...
