The Coming Out Interviews, pt. 2: Mom, I’m a sex blogger

The memory’s a bit of a blur now, but almost 7 years ago, I was standing in the bathroom at my parents’ house, mentally preparing myself to tell them I had a sex blog. I knew everything would be okay in the end, and it was — but I could’ve never anticipated just how genuinely my parents, and my mom in particular, would come to encourage and champion this unorthodox career. Coming out as a sex blogger was my second coming out. My first took place at age 14, when I wrote a letter to my parents c...

Websites for Public Arrest Information

I'm sorry if this isn't' the correct forum but my question didn't seem to fit in any of the other forums. In my internet experience I"ve been able to find online criminal public arrest/court proceedings for most any state I needed. A simple google search and maybe a little navigating on a state or county website was all I needed. I've been looking for info on an arrest in North Carolina and I am not finding anything. I've searched at the state level and the county level for a few dif...

Hometown Cops Are Crazy

So I live in a small town and last night around 1am I was driving to a gas station going under the speed limit and doing absolutely nothing wrong or suspicious and I passed a cop in the opposite late which immediately slammed on the brakes, did a U-turn in the road and then sped at like 70mph to catch up to me and then high beamed me before I turned into the gas station and he just slowly drove by, then he came back and parked across the street in a bank drive through and literally watched me an...

When will we stop fearing sex?

[From , one of the best sites on the internet for feminist porn, censored to protect Tumblr’s delicate sensibilities.] As I write this, sipping a chestnut praline latte at my local Starbucks, I know I’m living on borrowed time. Last week, Starbucks caved to pressure from an anti-porn organization and announced that starting in 2019, they will be blocking “pornography and illegal content” on their wifi networks. This, of course, means the salacious and utterly disgraceful sex toy review blog y...

Webite Lottery

Hi, I've been inspired by cryptocurrency lotteries and run a small web site and want to do similar. It will be using a site based currancy that members can use to buy tickets.. their winnings will be in these tokens.. and they can contact the site admin to have their site tokens converted to either PayPal or bank transfer.. Participants can be world wide. There are some other details involved but that is the main bulk of it.. Can I do thos without getting in trouble? I realize I need to ...

Posts on the Forum

As I said so before I believe that we should all engage in adult conversation. That means no name calling and no insults. Calling people names and making insults is very childish not to mention offensive. The moderators should do their job to not allow such stuff. I assume this is not a children’s forum. As such we should refrain from making childish posts and that includes attacks upon other posters. We’re all adults I take it so we should act like adults and it should show in our posts. I expe...

Utah Nurse Alex Wubbels Arrested

I could not find an existing thread on this and I wanted to ask the opinions of some legal professionals rather than sift through comments on YouTube or local news sites. I recently stumbled upon the story of University of Utah nurse Alex Wubbels who was detained for refusing to conduct a blood draw on a motorist, Marcos Torres, who was rear-ended by a suspect fleeing police and was being treated under Wubbels care at the hospital. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_U...pital_incident Initial...

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida Dave Boyle intervenes in the rape of John O'Shea and kills the rapist. Is there any legality to this? I mean legality as if it were real.

Selling Lawdex, Case Index Labels

Hello Everyone, I am an office clerk at a small-sized family law office in Bucks County, PA. I was assigned the task to sell around 400 lawdex cards. They are no longer used by our office, and I need them gone. We're asking $100.00 for them, but the price is negotiable. They are around $80.00 for around 100 of them, so this is a good deal I believe. If anyone is interested, please let me know by emailing me ([email protected]). If you have any further questions regarding these, please ...

British Masons Must Accept Transgender Members

Expelling masons for transitioning was "unlawful discrimination", the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) warned two weeks ago. UGLE added that women who transition to become men should also be allowed to join, its new gender reassignment policy states. I would love to hear opinions from solicitors on whether UGLE’s claim that they were stuck between a rock and a hard place is valid? I have read in various news reports that UGLE decided to allow trans people because that’s where the law of t...

Should Disrespect to the Flag Be Criminalized

On an ethical level, yes, of course. What they are doing is reprehensible, and if I were in the founding fathers' shoes and was responsible for creating a new country, I'd say "everyone has free speech, but it's illegal to burn the flag". It's disrespectful and downright reprehensible to attack the flag in that manner, disregarding the thousands of men and women who died to defend our freedom. On an ethical level, I'd be fine with them getting sent to jail......... hell I'd personally have no...

The things we’ve built

GAY BEACH GIRLFROND FUNTIMES SUPERBLORPS. That’s what our shared calendar said. We planned the trip on a whim: several nights at the coast, in an adorable house we found on Airbnb. A quick drive a couple hours from the city and there we were, on the beach, walking in the surf and holding hands. Squealing when the water rushed against our legs more strongly than anticipated. Aerie had brought some new sand toys, including a hilarious sand drill, so we picked a spot and began erecting a sand cit...

Crossing Traffic

Quote: Quoting jk ...I’m not seeing walking across a highway as much of an argument that you need to park in the school lot. That depends on the highway. There were highways that I wouldn't have crossed on foot at the height of my physical prowess. Not that even the business highway in the world would be an excuse in the OPs case.

Air Travel With Firearms

Quote: Quoting Mr. Knowitall If you do check a bag and want to make sure that it is tracked from start to finish, pack a starter pistol in your bag and declare it when you check the bag. The bag will be tracked and monitored until the moment you collect it. (You can't do that with a carry-on as starter pistols can't go into the cabin of the plane.) Good idea. I have transported firearms in checked baggage. It's inspected and labeled and ...

Would This Be Constitutional

If someone commits murder or rape, would it be unconstitutional to simply drop them in the wilderness somewhere that they would never be able to escape back into society and let them fend for themselves in the wild? I would imagine that this would be a politically unfeasible idea given that the congressmen probably wouldn't take the massive political gamble of voting for such an unusual piece of legislation even if it was constitutional, but it would save taxpayer dollars without technically be...

The Nsa Surveillance is Unethical and Unconstitutional

Anyways, I have heard from multiple sources that despite not being legally allowed to surveill US citizens, the nsa spies on everyone with a computer essentially as they have had packet analyzers installed on the servers of ISPs. Internet service providers are legally forced to comply. Not necessarily to read anything manually but with a computer program of some kind. Essentially, they are not even performing surveillance to catch people breaking any laws, as the nsa is not even authorized to...

Social Services Support?

I've never been officially diagnosed with autism. Yet I had support for years. Since I had issues with my older support workers and they don't support me today, I've had nobody else for a long time. The thing is...I have a social worker who moans about how I should use the support, and what little support he did find me, they had zero to do with autism and this one guy I had was just a tit. The place my so-called key worker works in is just up the road from my flat, but even before I moved there...

Are There Any Attorneys or Retired Attorneys That Post to Expertlaw

I've created several threads asking questions about the law that pertain to a redlight camera ticket I received in California and most of the responses are very pessimistic about me having a valid defense and being able to sucessfully defend myself in court. I ended up using beating a red light camera ticket where the prosecution had very good evidence against me using highwayrobbery and Fight Your Ticket by David Brown both of which gave solid advice. But my question is why here on "ExpertLaw" ...

What is an Llm Authorized to Do

I am starting a business and will be partnering with either an LL.M. or J.D. I want to go with the LL.M. because they have a specialization in tax law.
